To be honest I did something similar myself, when I was in highschool I was pretty shy and my friends used to bully me a little about not having a GF until one day I told them I did had one but she lived far away and we only hanged out in school or at her place, but they didn't believe me, so one day I ask a very good friend of mine she was almost a childhood friend I asked her to go to the movies with me. I told her to watch a cool movie back then, what I didn't told her is my other friends would be there and she was gonna be my fake "gf". When I arrived with my female friend my friends were very friendly and my female friend got along with everyone. After the movie my female friend and I left together, and she asked me why didn't I told her more of my friends were coming. I told her the situation and she said it was all good but she wasn't going to do this again. I agreed with her and bought her a lot of candy during that week, I paid her back spoiling her with chocolates.
