May I suggest as an option for sewers with a little experience to trim the Insul-bright and wadding after sewing close down to the stitches in the long curved seam? That would reduce the bulk there considerably and avoid potential lumpiness when turned inside out. Otherwise, a very nice simple and very practical tea cosy.

Thanks for bringing up the tea stain spots. Choosing darker patterned fabrics would be ideal and it hadn't occurred to me!

My sewing machine is a quilting one, just a normal machine. Will that work? (I guess I'll see, won't I...) In any case, this little project got me all excited, so now I'll be off to get me some wadding! What's the name of that special wadding again? CC has gibberish.

Well damn. he sped through the important parts like how to pin the seam and then how to sow the final waist material. I guess this isn't for beginners.

That is NOT Chenille, Chenille is a looping sewing process.

Exactly what I was looking for! But didn't you say you added some elastic at the very end? I couldn't really see that. If you could add a bit more detail. Thanks. I have some AMAZING hot pink coduroy guy-pants that need this, and a little more here and there of discrete, hidden elastic that needs insertion. Very subtle. One's tectonic plates shift over time. (One needs an industrial sewing machine for thick corduroy. I will work that out somehow.) Of all the videos of this, your's is THE BEST! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hi there, great video! I am currently making my own custom lampshade. Can anyone tell me what kind of tape he's using? I would love to figure it out as it looks so much better than using hot glue!
