Nice! TIP: for rolling in the wheel --- use a finished Paper Towel cardboard roll (2 preferably), build a T, make small grooves to hold the wire in place. It'll help steady your wheel without the need of wishing for a 3rd hand. :) If the paper towel roll isn't long enough, you can also find a mailing tube or almost finished xmas wrapping sitting around your house...

Much easier if you first assemble your fabric and backing into the round shape. Hold that together with glue and bulldog clips. Then lay this on your bottom of top wire round, glue up the fabric and it's done. Martha Stewart's video on making a lampshade is great. Thanks!!!

I was wondering...coz I want to make a lampshade but where I'm from they don't sell this nice simple kits...do you know what material is the sticky paper made from? (the one you stick onto the fabric?) Is it a type of thick contact paper? Thanks a lot!

What kind of tape can one substitute for the sticky tape. What is the purpose of the sticky tape on the rim. Is it a 2 sided tape and in that case can any brand 2 sided tape be used for this purpose?
