I guess it is a panel that doesn't have a high enough voltage to charge a 24 volt or higher system. My 100 watt panels have an open circuit voltage around 20 volts.

I have the same BMW with heating. When using heat it still allows some charging even when set at 0*c and have tried it at 3*c. (As soon as the heater is unplugged It shuts off...) My heater uses 3 amp, and about 2 amps are going into the battery.... it seems if I crank up the charging it will trip and stop charging.... seems a bit weird, but I have to do more testing.... Bms with heat doesn't seem to have temperature user adjusted settings... on at 0*c and off at 15*c...

Kevin, When I was 12 years old in 1968 I was doing small engine repair with the help of my father. A friend of my father, Frank Carbajal, brought a REO De Luxe Flying Cloud Rotary mower. The engine was seized up. When I took it apart, I found the same sludge in the oil base just like the last engine in this video. The connecting rod bearing was severely damaged and the crankshaft journal was severely scored. Amazingly, my uncle found a NOS crankshaft and connecting rod at an old lawnmower shop in San Antonio, TX. I replaced the bad parts, reassembled the engine and the engine ran like a spotted ape. I took the completed lawnmower back to Frank Carbajal. I cranked it up and mowed a little bit of grass to show him how well it worked. I instructed him to change the oil on a regular basis to avoid problems again. He asked how much I owed him and I said $15.00. He replied FIFTEEN DOLLARS as if I was ripping him off. He asked if I would buy it for $15. Without hesitation, I said YES, DEFINITELY. He said okay, okay and paid me the $15. My father was impressed with my immediate response. In retrospect, I wish he would have sold me that lawnmower. My father and I were so impressed with that REO engine that he installed a REO Model 404E engine on his 1896 Easterwood Homer replica buggy car. It fit perfectly under the buggy seat because of the slant cylinder. After all these years of faithful service it needs new rings and a valve job to restore its original 1 1/4 hp. I have been looking for a REO Model 221 engine for the 1 3/4 hp. 20 years of searching has not yielded one. Thanks for posting this video and reminding me of my first encounter with a REO engine!

It most likely did that because you were trying to charge two batteries at the same time. Aka exceeded the maximum charge amount so to speak. So it played it safe by slightly under charging

How tall are your mounting posts from the ground?
@kevincrawford202713 күн бұрын
In my case the ground is not level so the pivot point at one end is about eye level and the other end is about waist level. Post height needs to be enough so you have clearance at the bottom so you can mow and have room for snow in my case when the panels are in the winter solstice position.
@lindaferguson59313 күн бұрын

@kevincrawford202713 күн бұрын
I have three and have to switch to see each one. I don't know of a way to see the all of them at the same time. That would be a nice feature. I did notice that when you open the app it shows all of the batteries and their last state of charge when the app was last used not to useful if they have discharged any..

Are you using 2 charge controllers with your PowMr inverter?
@kevincrawford202719 күн бұрын
Yes I have three separate solar arrays. One going to the PowMr and two to different controllers all charging the same battery. They are all set pretty much the same and all seem to work well.
@xxcrazy_critr666120 күн бұрын
I know some will scoff at the less expensive Solar products. But here's the deal, coming from a background in power systems stuff of a different variety, but same thing applies here. The masses will buy the cheap stuff, the mass produced clones, the money that the pioneers put into R&D you are paying back to them when you buy their 3 times as expensive products that do the exact same thing. Eventually the pioneers die off, and have to reinvent themselves, usually that means they come back as a "cheap" product with a Legacy Nameplate. So this cheap stuff is the future. Get used to it, because if the money is going there instead of the big Legacy Name companies, the cheap stuff will just get better and better without getting much more expensive, if anymore at all, as it conquers the market. Laugh if you want, doesn't happen overnight, but eventually it does happen, every time. Think of Maytag, from the best, to the same as the rest.

So the air flows the wrong way?
@kevincrawford202724 күн бұрын
They all seem to do it that way. I was told it was to keep dust from sticking to the components inside. Supposedly when the air is going down the dust also goes down and out.
@rolc827224 күн бұрын
That's an interesting answer....
@nerfarian18 күн бұрын
I reversed my fans, intake on bottom, lowers thermals. Will just need to do cleaning on the unit occasionally to clear the dust. May attach fan filter to help. Added additional 120mm ball bearing fan in mine to exhaust hot air out
