This dude is not the greatest watching them pitch with the trolls. Yeah he did OK but nothing special y’all can have them. Why does he keep grabbing his fucking crotch? Does he have an itch or something every time he’s pitches like his baby nut side gets out of place or something.lol
Eh pitchers are always overpaid even ones with 4 plus era. I felt like he was an iffy signing since last year was his first good year so good luck I guess.

I'm a Dodger fan but there's no excuse for throwing objects at players on the field or in the bullpen. Things like that have happened in Philadelphia, Boston and New York but you don't expect in in L.A. In Boston some fans threw objects at future Dodger star Reggie Smith.

This move tells me that Angels are after Japanese money since they lost it when they lost Ohtani. But with due respect, I must say that Kikuchi is not Ohtani and not nearly same amount of Japanese money will be spent on ads, tickets and broadcasting by signing Kikuchi. For the time being, Angels need to hope that Kikuchi will produce $21 million per year performance on the field who earned $10 million in 2024.
@Zagirus8 сағат бұрын
The thing people need to understand is that Ohtani is a national hero, the most popular man in the entirety of Japan, so other Japanese players are irrelevant when it comes to advertising companies and Japanese fans.

I would say all this just to be in 5th place but yet again I am a Mariners fan so there probably going to make the playoffs before we do.
I am Taiwanese, and I sincerely appreciate the Japanese congratulations on Taiwan winning the baseball championship. In addition, I also appreciate the grace shown by the Japanese after losing.

Thank you for referring to the team as Taiwan. The English broadcasters only called us that when he occasionally slipped up. Watching this Premier 12 champion team, I think the difference is how much the team reminded me of Samurai Japan. The defense is incredible. The bullpen is immaculate. Then we had hitters who hit less than 5 home runs in over 100 games this past season going yard against the best pitchers in the world. It's nothing short of a miracle, and the essence of anything can happen in baseball.

This move worries me because it’s similar to when they paid Tyler Anderson after his breakout year. However when you’ve been as bad as the angels have been you can’t expect top free agents to wanna play there so they have to get what they can get. Hopefully it works out

We are not taking over; we have just got more and more competitive. Having won against Japan is indeed a great boost to the sport in Taiwan, but this further means that the Taiwanese baseball spirit in the 90s---tough, resilient, and tenacious---is back. Watch out guys, cuz you will hear from us very soon, AGAIN. By the way, Japan is a worthy opponent, and I am sure they will want revenge, which is just how we Taiwanese want it. Respect to Samurai!

I always thought the original 364ft to left center was way too short for a major league stadium. I guess seeing what would be a routine fly ball in any other park turn into a 3-run homer caused the over correction. I hope the new dimensions can attract some free agent players with some power.

Fun fact: Before the competition began, all media, including those in Taiwan, believed that the Taiwan team was the second weakest among all the participating teams. Even the promotional posters at the Tokyo Dome did not feature any players from the Taiwan team. While this could have simply been an oversight in design, it is undeniable that the Taiwan team truly embodies a Cinderella story.

from reddit: Five coaches on this Team Taiwan's roster played in the 2013 WBC, in which Taiwan lost to Japan in the quarterfinals on a walk-off hit by Hirokazu Ibata, the current manager of Samurai Japan

The bullpen coach Chien-Ming Wang was the starting pitcher in 2013, he threw 6 scoreless innings but was unable to lead the team to victory. So I guess he made sure our bullpen wouldn’t allow that to happen again to anyone else
