All baseball fans know the absolute misery of, "almost but not quite, maybe next year." We've all suffered through heartbreaking losses. Don't even mention 2001 to me. The Indians (sorry, I'm old school, they'll always be the Indians to me) have a good team. They gave us Yankees fans ulcers during this series. My hat's off to them. If they can stay together they'll be back next year. You have nothing to be ashamed of, your team played a great series. Sorry for your pain. Even Yankees fans know pain. Imagine the Cubbies' fans, how long they suffered. You'll be on top one day and I don't think it's that far off. Cheers...

Guardians played a tremendous series where every game was a dogfight -- I felt lucky that the Yanks won. My only complaint if I were a Guardians fan would be that you pitched to Stanton instead of walking him to get to Jazz. I did not understand that with Stanton being locked in and representing the tying run in a win or go home game. I would've walked him 100 out of 100 times. What Soto did could not have been helped, but what Stanton did? Put the guy on.

The Yankees should report to the Indians spring training facility this February when pitchers and catchers report. That way they can get in some extra batting practice for the 2025 season. Is that all that the Tribe pitchers know how to do is serve up home run balls to these guys? Every year, all you ever hear is how solid or how great the Indians rotation is. Guess what the ownership knows how much the fans like good pitching but won't spend more on offense. The game has to be balanced, and until the Tribe gets a couple of dominant hitters, this will continue. As always, nice season Cleveland, get ready to T up some homerun balls next post-season.
