Damn, I love this car! When the cover came off I said “DAMN!” out loud! 😂 You’ve got some nice cars, ive even watched the more recent videos. Even if I had to sell the others to afford to fix this one! This is forsure the car I would fix up, and keep above all others!

Just curious what do your neighbours think of all the car reving.. lol
@MrHVlogsMore19 сағат бұрын
Honestly, no one really cares. I'm very respectful to my neighbours and it's only every few weeks I do tests or engine noise etc.

I've had some luck making taillight gaskets from neoprene before, easily available in a variety of thicknesses that are normally suitable for the job

You could use JB Weld 2 part epoxy to fix the broken part on your tail light.

Such a cool frigging car, Nate. I can't wait to see what it's gonna look like when it's restored.

My 3rd gen prelude leaks like crazy. After you fix it, a great way to test is to hose the car down and sit inside and watch for leaks in different spots. I hope it works, and maybe I'll do this process to my prelude as nothing has worked for me yet. Helpful video, Nate. Cheers, bro.
@MrHVlogsMoreКүн бұрын
It worked! Spoiler alert. I used a little more and heated it up, pressed it into place and it worked. So I'd try it out if I were you.

If the butyl tape doesn’t cut it I’d say try tiger seal next, maybe even for the vents!👍 Only possible issue with tiger seal is if you ever want to take them back out! Could also try JB weld and set that thread/stud in again!?, you’d need to let it cure, but it might just work done right!

Been looking forward to this, any updates on the 510?
@MrHVlogsMoreКүн бұрын
HUGE updates, Its completely stripped of all paint and filler, out of the chemical stripping and being collected next week, so I'll go and see it, do a big video on it all and rough plans on what to do. It's essentially being restored I think now.

The short shifter will get a little nicer once you've used it for about a week or so. Was the same when I installed on on my Chaser. Once it loosened it it felt amazing!

Amazon and Aliexpress sell katana hilt shift knobs for pretty reasonable prices. I currently have a nice black and gold long hilt one for myself because I'm extra, lol.

Bro that looks clean wish we had those here in the states it looks like it’s screaming for a v8
@MrHVlogsMore7 күн бұрын
Yeah a V8 would be fun, not sure how good it would handle though in such a small chassis! Not even sure if a V8 would fit in it dimensions wise. But it would be cool, for now the 4age will do and hopefully I'll put it on some itb's too

I have two comments: (1) What are you thinking for the shifter? I assume they have some fun custom options. (2) Are you likely to whack your head on that metal bar behind your seat in the unfortunate event of a collision? Can you adjust things to protect your head?
@MrHVlogsMore8 күн бұрын
I'm thinking a bride shift boot tbh, to match the seats, could be nice or a bit lame. I've bought one to just see as it was cheap enough 😂
@RhinoTheHamster4008 күн бұрын
That inspection 🤣 oh yea that's a Toyota engine got 2JZ-GTE, so the car has a history of a turbo it's gonna need a re tune, wouldn't be surprised if the turbo was taken out before resale, but then why leave the timer😕.the 2J was swap was meant to be a joke but it seems an Icelander did it kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqqqnWl4aJeGbJo 580hp and 703Nm
@MrHVlogsMore7 күн бұрын
No no, I've seen previous pics of it all with a naturally aspirated 4age in it, different engine. it's never been turbod, genuinely, which is why the turbo timer is even weirder 😂
