Nice! I like the style of this and the Celica from the 70's.

Elo Nate, I love the Corolla. Is that how you spell it? The green is great. Looking very much forward to seeing you work on this beauty. Always a pleasure to see Sir Jasper basking there in the sun as well. All the best Al. 😊

You can’t go wrong with the old Toyos from the 70s & 80s. I wish I’d kept my first gen 4Runner with a custom top I had made for it. But, alas you can’t keep everything.

This made me think of my moms 82 celica. Never seen anyone else drive it and never seen anyone drive it now but as a kid I thought those headlights were the coolest shit ever.

These were real lookers. Front end looks like Lancia nicked it for the Delta. Rear reminds me of a Capri.

Very nice congratulations. I have always wanted to build a classic Japanese car. If I ever get to start a project like that, it would probably be the old standard of a 240z. My current projects are a '21 GT500 and a '69 Chevy Nova. ..if only money and space was never a factor, lol. Enjoy the project.

As someone who owned a much later model of Corolla, I can confirm that yours is much cooler! Congratulations, Nate! Glad to see Jasper approves too 😀

Wow, that’s a great color for that car! The gold rims on the teal body looks awesome!

My GF had one, i found it hard to drive because i used to be 6' 5" back then, the 4AG goes pretty hard, you can turbo the snot out of them if your a mad man but you'll need sandbags in the boot. Better off with the GT4 AWD and oil bath inter-cooled turbo in terms of traction but you'd probably never find one these days.

Love the KE35, had one in 2003 but it was nowhere near as nice as this. I currently have a KE36 4 door wagon I have owned for 18 years as of today that I will never sell. The KE3X series are getting pretty rare now. I paid $700 for my 35 when I got it, they go for about $40,000 now where I live 😆
@MrHVlogsMore8 ай бұрын
Jesus! That's quite the equity and return on investment! I'd love a wagon tbh
@callumcormack36698 ай бұрын
@@MrHVlogsMore Yeah it is crazy what they are going for now. Not quite as much as my first car though, I got an AE86 Levin notchback for $1100 in 2002, one sold here in New Zealand for $57,000 the same as mine (but not as tidy) a week ago. I do like my wagon but would be awesome to have a coupe like yours. I have always loved the wind up back windows on the KE35's.

When importing a car like that knowing how bad shipping is atm cost wise delay wise, you should get your broker to arrange marine transit insurance, it’s not that expensive. Those bastards that knocked parts what a low act I hope they didn’t take that much
