To be fair, this movie really works best as a companion to the book, which is a devastating and beautiful portrayal of loss, grief and parenthood. You love all these characters because they're very complex, very real and (unlike the movie lol) amazing parents. That said, this movie is an excellent representation of 80's parenting! I had full stove privileges while home alone before kindergarten 😂😂😂 it was some serious survival of the luckiest in them good old days

The barrels that Louis was opening when he was taking revenge were, I think, supposed to be Karosine or some other flammable lamp oil.

I am sorry to say that if the slaves lived there without papers that said they were set free, I fear the slaves would have been punished by the other authorities in New Orleans.

Regarding the slaves on Louis' plantation, I am fascinated with the fact that the voodoo or African ceremonies that the slaves were doing were actually bothering the vampires. Was that because the African ceremonies to chase off evil spirits worked or was it simply because the ceremonies had been going on for over a week?

I just googled it the cat actor was not harmed during the making of the film, and each scene with the cat was supervised by a member of the ASPCA. The scene where church is injected my louis, he was just sedated by a vet to make him look dead. The needle was a prop so it didn't really go inside him. it also says in the credits no animals were harmed in the making of the film. RE: the parents. in the book it explains it better, the ground is evil and possessed by the spirit of the wendigo. and literally influences the people around it. the ground made the parents and Judd distracted, and the truck driver speed down the road. it also made Judd fall asleep right when he would have seen louis carrying gages body to the burial ground.

Dr. Harford ultimately found out that his friend Ziegler gets up to some freaky stuff, but they're not actually all that sinister. 1. They marked him right from the beginning as someone who doesn't belong, and could've easily killed him, or thrown him out of the house right from the get-go. Instead, they just let him wander around seeing everything, and they stage that whole thing with the woman to scare the heck out of him, in the hopes that he'd leave them alone. 2. I think that Ziegler was being 100% honest with Harford, especially about the charade. It doesn't make sense, otherwise. How did that random woman pick him out so easily as someone who doesn't belong? Why was she warning him? She didn't know him at all (or so she thought). It was the girl from the beginning who Ziegler was with, who got a little TOO high (Mandy), and has the misfortune to die after she gets home from the creepy party. 3. To be fair, I've only watched this movie once, but where was there any evidence of child trafficking, or ANY human trafficking? Mandy sounding scared was part of the charade, and none of the other women there were trying to get away, or were restrained in any way that I could see. In conclusion, Harford walked into a freaky party, got hazed, and that was it.

The movie leaves out WHY Jud takes him out there. It's the same reason the trucks are driving so fast, why Luis smirks while digging up his son, why he tries again with his wife, why Rachel's tire blows out, etc.

The reason why zombies first came to the old man's house was probably revenge for participation in killing the previous zombie. That was either the same evil spirit, or his friends, that knew all the story.

Or b/c Judd was helping the evil before by exposing Louis and his family, but after Gage died, Judd was attempting to stand in the way of the burial ground and its new victims. That’s why Gage went after him first.

"And I would know, I would know in my gut that that thing upstairs isn't my daughter"... A MASTERPIECE from the first to last frame I movie that you FELT from beginning to end. The Crucifix scene is hands down the worst thing that has happened to me (yes me, on a very personal level) in 65 years. This Film was light years ahead of it's time... 50 Years and counting. This is a Film that will not be surpassed. The Acting (every Actor in the film, literally)... You never thought of any of them as acting...just being... What a mind blowing Film.

No shade at Mark Ruffalo, but Edward Norton was the better Hulk in 2008 and would've been a better Hulk in all of the Avengers.

This is my favorite Version of Hulk as well Ed Norton will always be Bruce Banner and Hulk for me, Liv Tyler talked about how much she was grateful to work with Edward. Mark is way too goofy as the Hulk, Marvel made the character a joke, that’s marvel fault 🙄 and even the director for this movie was on Edward’s side, he also hates what they’ve done with the character.

If Edward Norton did not continue to play Hulk it is because the film The Incredible Hulk actually lasted 2h20 but Marvel cut 45 minutes so Edward Norton was very angry because he had written most of the cut scenes and also the film unfortunately probably flopped because it came out a month after Iron Man and a few days before The Dark Knight! You can find the 45 minutes of deleted scenes on KZbin I advise you to watch them and maybe even give a reaction to them because they are great and I am sure that if they were in the theatrical version the film would have been an all time classic. Norton was too much passionate with the character and Marvel wanted a yes man to play him so they replaced him with Ruffalo

That 3rd transformation always gets me with how painful it is for Bruce Banner to transform into Hulk. Also, one of Hulk's abilities is that he draws more strength from his anger. The angrier he gets, the more powerful he becomes. It shows that Hulk can bench-press a tank without breaking a sweat, but his strength is virtually limitless. To answer any questions, Bruce Banner's grasp over Hulk depends on HOW he transforms. If it happens voluntarily, Hulk has more of an ability to reason and comprehend things. But if it happens through uncontrollable stimuli like anger, Hulk is the living equivalent of a wrecking ball.

Linda dated Rick James and je wrote Cold Blooded about her. Also the bedroom scenes was on a refrigerated set and I could only film for a couple of minutes before the lights heated up the set because they had to see their breath they didn't have the technology to draw in breath or CGI. Linda was 12 when they started shooting. Those steps do have a black in Georgetown Washington. New subscriber enjoyed your reaction to this classic film.
