24 v 21 frets on a Rick seems odd. They aren't renowned for lead work that high on the neck.

@@paulfrantizek102 From what I could gather, it seems to have been done to help with the stability of the neck? I couldn't find a clear answer as to why they opted for 24 frets instead of 21.

That's a period correct Rickenbacker case for your guitar. I have 3 pre-92' Ricks that all come with that style of case (which is still available on some of the top-of-the-range guitars). My 98' Rick has the plastic injection-moulded case, which has cracked at the corners (very common). Enoy your 360, it's a beautiful instrument.

These are nice amps but I remember when they came out they were quite expensive and I don't think that many were sold. I think Vox figured they needed to be able to hit a lower price point in the modeling amp market.

Congratulations with your beautiful guitar! You know, to me this has always been my favourite Rickenbacker guitar. Precisely this one, finish and all. I am a little jealous so to speak. But I shouldn’t complain. I’m a 57 year old man and I own enough unbelievably beautiful guitars to call myself fortunate. Not long ago I decided to buy my last electric dream guitar. There were a couple of contestants, but in the end it was a choice between ‘your guitar’ and a Gretsch G6636T White Falcon. And I went for the latter because I thought it would match so well with my black Gibson ES-347. So the Rickenbacker will most likely never be mine. Take good care of it and rock that little beast!!! 😎🖤👍

I just bought a casino to have a little verity in my studio I have an Ibanez solid body guitar and next I’m getting an acoustic guitar but I find the single coil pickups are a little noisy and they howl a bit when the amp is cranked but I like the sound when used for blues or jazz but as far as recording goes I would like to eliminate the unwanted noise and just capture the good stuff so can you recommend some pickups that would still sound like the original ones without the noise?

Cool to see these old amps getting attention these days! I also have both the Cambridge 15 and 2 early Pathfinder 15s (no reverb). One Pathfinder is the from the first 500 made in 1999. I also swapped speakers around. My Cambridge now has the blue Pathfinder speaker in it, which has a larger magnet. I really like it in the Cambridge, I think it sounds more full. I put a Weber Silver 10 alnico the other Pathfinder, but the speaker requires much more power and therefore isn't as loud as the 8" ones at the same knob setting. I also bought a broken Pathfinder that I converted into a cabinet with a WGS Veteran 10, which is a very sweet speaker. I enjoyed this comparison and think I need to try the original speaker back in the Cambridge and see how it compares to the one from the Pathfinder.

Actually i'm sorry let me correct that, I just got off the phone with the store I bought it from and they spoke with an Ibanez representative who clarified that the one I had purchased was a first run limited edition version of this pedal. The ones that are going for $299 are not the same. In what way? I'm not sure. I asked and they just told me it was a "first" run and that it was limited. Maybe thats why mine was numbered. Hope this gives you some answers, you spiked my curiosity with your comment lol

it´s good but definitly too loud for at home. If you only want too play clean in silent mode - it´s very good. But if you want to krank it up, it´s far too loud. you can boost him, but it´s not the same charakter like boosting with power amp (Loudness)......the same problem, all tubeamps still have.....exceptionally you use an tubeamp in 0,1 watt mode. if you play the amp with an power attenuator it loses quality......because of that i prefer my marshall 100 Amp, he still sounds at lowest Master fantastic at bedroom volume.....

The problem is these companies discontinuing incredible amps like this and the old Pathfinder 15, presumably because they were so good they worried they would attract more customers than their higher end products. Instead they keep products like the newer Pathfinder 10, which does not remotely compare. Fender did the same when they discontinued the kind of quality, professional solid state amps they produced in the late 80s and 90s, keeping only the vastly inferior Frontman 10 and 20, which are toys by comparison.

My parents bought the Pathfinder 15 non reverb V9158 version, with 8" blue bulldog speaker, as my first amp ages ago. I was clearing some stuff from my studio and put it up for sale last year. To my surprise I received very high offers and I almost sold it to someone offering me an amount well over what it costed back in the day. To be sure I was selling a proper working amp I tried it for the first time in nearly 20 years, that's when I decided to keep it! The Vox Pathfinder 15(R) is very underrated and while back in the day I didn't get what it was all about, I really enjoy this amp nowadays. For a solid state amp, this thing has an amazing feel to it and sounds much bigger than you would expect an 8" speaker to sound. It takes pedals really well and you can certainly gig this tiny thing if the drummer isn't constantly hitting cymbals. The size and lack off weight is also a huge plus.
