Realize this vid is 5 years old, but can you expand on the type of gear you are/were using? Line weight? Rod/reels etc. Lures are obvious....whopper ploppers, but are those 75s? Great video!

Try 20lb V2 super slick Power Pro, or regular Power Pro. I use moss green. Then a 9”black steel leader. Or 40# - 60# Seaguar fluorocarbon leader.

In Romeoville by the isle a la cache you have carp and some channel cats and the river flows clean. the only issue you almost need a small boat to get to the hard to reach spots.
