they have issues for sure the problem actually comes from the constant lies when you call for help. sometimes i wonder if they even know what the actual problem is. every month at billing time the service goes down. you call them they pretend its an equipment issue but then it comes back and works perfectly until the next billing cycle when it happens all over again like clockwork. whats the game here? is this what we do to get the customers to pay their bill? just askin? good idea but it also affects your paying customers who shouldnt have to deal with bullshit. GET IN YOUR LITTLE MEETING ROOM TMOBILE AND DEAL WITH WHATEVER THE HELL YOUVE GOT GOING ON AND FIX IT SO THE PAYING CUSTOMERS DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE BULLSHIT. I've had T-mobile internet foe over a year and it's been great. The only issue I had is that my gateway died. Tmo had a jew one at my door next day. But it's been more reliable and just as fast as Comcast. Glad I got it. UPDATE-UPDATE-THE OTHER DAY, MY INTERNET WAS WORKING GREAT. MY AVERAGE SPEED WAS BETWEEN 100 ,175MPS AND UPLOAD WAS BETWEEN 30 AND 50. THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN AVERAGING FOR OVER A YEAR. THEN THAT NIGHT WE NOTICE THE GATEWAY REALLY SLOW DOWN. MY SIGNAL IS THE SAME. THE GATEWAY WAS NOT MOVED NOR DID WE ADD ANY TYPE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE NEAR THE UNITED. WHEN I CHECKED MY SPEEDS MY DIWNLIAD WAS UNDER 10 MPS AND UPLOAD WAS AROUND 2.ITS BEEN A LITTLE BETTER BUT NOT OVER 50MPS DOWN AND 30 UP. I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT. THE SIGNAL FROM THR GATEWAY TO T-MOBILE IS FINE, AND THERE ARE NO OTHER DEVICES USING MY GATEWAY. WHILE I'M STILL ABLE TO USE IT FULLY, I'LL KEEP MY EYE ON IT. I'D LIKE IT TO BE BACK TO WHAT IT WAS.

FYI if you are having trouble canceling T-Mobile go to one of their store locations! The store will call the number for you and they will hit the buttons to skip all the Robot BS and get to a real person who will immediately cancel your service once the person on the phone is aware that you are calling from a T-Moble store. It's the fastest way to cancel from what it seems looking at the comments.

I love what T-Mobile and Verizon are doing for us consumers in terms of giving us alternatives for service other than traditional ISPs! So many Apartment complexes have exclusivity contracts with ISPs to where the residents can only use a specific one! It's so annoying, especially because since they "know" you can't switch they raise prices while giving you the same crappy service they did before and sometimes take away features. So I gave T-Mobile a try and the speeds at my apartment were about 150mbps down and about 20-40mbps up! Which was pretty good for the price but I'm close enough to the tower to get band 41 (their fast link) which I was getting. I was gonna buy an external antenna to increase the signal strength because I drove by the cell tower which is on their service. And near it, I was getting 400+Mbps down on my phone which is also on their service and when I would go to the Apartment complex I was getting about 150 to 160Mbps down on my phone and on the T-Mobile gateway. So I figured it had to be the obstructions in the way. I know you can get speeds faster than the 150Mbps because I went to a family member's house with the gateway and did a speed test and was stupid fast with 400 - 600Mbps down and 40Mbps up! Stupid fast speeds! But at my place the speeds were slower which is due to you being on the deprioritized spectrum plus all the T-moble customers in the area and being next to a hwy they will have your speeds as low as 50Mbps down and about 5 to 15Mbps up which isn't bad for someone living by themselves but I know when friends come over if I'm getting 50 down at that time the network is going to get saturated! So I tried Verizon and their gateway is nice too. At my Apartment, I got 350Mbps down and 30-40 Mbps up! Which was great! The only downside about Verizon is they throttle your speed to around 300 to 350. So me maxing at 350 is likely only due to their throttle because during some speed tests, I would get over the 350 and it would gradually come back down to about 350 and stop fluctuating. But 350 down is great just wish they didn't throttle because T-Mobile doesn't throttle! And because T-Mobile doesn't throttle I was able to get that 600Mbps down at its fastest at my family's house.

Glad I watched this video. I work from home so I cannot afford to have spotty or poor performing Internet. My Spectrum lately has been TERRIBLE in terms of speed (paying for 500 and getting 91) as techs have been out to my place at least 4 times (visit #5? is today) but it sounds like it would be worse with TMO. Shame too as I seriously was considering trying them. 🤔

That defeats the point. It shouldn't be a requirement for the customer to fix the issue. Especially since most of those antennas, especially from waveform cost upwards of $200-$400. TMHI is cheap but compared to a cable company near me the price is only $10 more a month. It would take upwards of 3 years to make it worth it to buy an external antenna. For someone living in a rural area it would definitely be worth it though.

Thank you for sharing your pain! EVERY internet service provider in the US has the same putrid business plan! They ALL give you a nice package out of the box and then screw you big time when the "discounts" expire. Over the past 18 years I have had to change providers every 2 to 3 years because they double the cost if you are not willing to walk away. I currently have Spectrum in the St. Louis market and it has been great, but in December 2022 it will rise in cost by $75 when my discounts expire. I MUST leave them for at least 30 days to be able to renegotiate a "new customer" deal for another two years! I am now looking for a short term replacement to bridge that gap and was thinking T-Mobile may be the place to go along w/ DirectTV streaming or something else for a month that I can easily cancel too after 30+ days. This whole internet and streaming TV racket is so frustrating because ALL the players are in lock step promoting the same game! I'm concerned that T-Mobile is playing a dishonest bait & switch game where they provide a good product for a limited time to make you think they are great out of the box but are then are too stupid to figure out they reduce the product and hope 90% of the stupid humans don't figure out they are getting screwed! We are all so reliant on the internet today and it is VERY disappointing that there is NOT A SINGLE HONEST COMPANY out there that is providing that service!!!!

Hmm works great for me. I stream KZbin TV on multiple devices in my house and play multiplayer online games with friends on PC and Xbox. I get latency spikes sometimes in games but for $50 a month I'm not complaining. No issues streaming live TV. I get anywhere from 50 Mbps to 300 Mbps but as long as I don't see the lag (and I don't) then I don't really care about the fluctuating speeds 🤷

That's the problem with sharing your experiences with a service like this. It's a nationwide service and every person in every location will have a different experience. @@talonlambrecht4589 I agree. My speed hasn't been a concern but I get latency jumps from time to time which is noticeable during online gaming. I'm willing to stick with them for a little while to see if it gets resolved. I'm saving $120 a month with T-Mobile vs Cox Cable. AT&T fiber is moving into my area so I might switch to them when it becomes available if T-Mobile doesn't fix the latency issue. It's not bad, just annoying at times.

I just go back to Spectrum because they gave me a deal that I couldn't pass and besides T-Mobile internet service is ok for me. The quality service of Spectrum is way better than T-Mobile internet. Spectrum offered me $20 per month for 2 years without a contract for 300mbps; that is an $840 saving right there for me. After 2 years, they said they will raise only $10; but I doubt it and I don't care. I normally have Spectrum and AT&T but dropped them to go to T-Mobile and I had T-Mobile for about a year; now I am going back to Spectrum. If you have multiple family members using the internet or using the internet for work, stay away from T-Mobile.

Talon, I feel your pain. Last October I signed up with TMHI because in testing it (at the time my third try) I finally got good speed. 500/100. I was elated as it was quicker and cheaper than Spectrum cable. Well the glow lasted a good long time. But more recently it has been a downward spiral, until I hit a wall and KZbin just froze on spinning dots. I speed tested and had 2/1 yup 2/1. I trouble \shot it and got some speed back but all my good speed was gone. N41 didn’t disappear but was now slower than poop. I eventually settled in to 100/30 but it was not reliable, KZbin kept choking so I knew I was going even slower. I called Spectrum and set up an install. I have gigabit which yields 940/40 in real world. It’s more but I have one discount that lasted a year and another stacked that lasts 2 years. Maybe Verizon will come to my area and or TM gets their poop together. I also dropped my TM cellphone but that was a mistake as Spectrum which is MVNO on Verizon sux eggs much worse than TM. I’ll probably stop cutting off my nose to spite my face and get TM back. I’m not saving any money on the cell side as Spectrum charges the same basically but with a data cap. To my knowledge I’ve cancelled TMHI but have to wait for a mailing label. I may have a fight on my hands if they pull crap like they did to you. Thanks for making me feel not alone. Joe

Important update, I tried 2 days and many many chat and phone call to TM to cancel my gateway, believe me, TM make it very difficult for you to cancel it, first they switch you over to support tech and they will have you do reset reboot, move gateway to a different location and half way through you get disconnected and you have to call and put on hold and talk with a different CS and start the whole process again and each one will give you different information. I get 10 to 20mbps download and when I switch back to my centurylink internet, I get upward of 800 mbps download and no more buffering. granted, TM gateway maybe a very good choice for someone that need 5G unlimited but it doesn't work for everyone. I get so frustrated talking to TM rep because they said I use 138GB already and there be no proration if I cancel now. I told them that's not what TM said when I sign up with 15 days worry free trail, I ask the TM CS to speak with their supervisor if they don't know how to handle it. believe me, is a waste of time and no result. STAY AWAY unless you have time to kill. it's nothing but headaches.
