Wait, I'm confused, is the canvas you used normal sewing fabric? treated with gesso so one can paint or is it true canvas?

If you find yourself needing to hem up something you don’t want to sew, like curtain edges that need to be very straight anyway, try heat n bond strips. You iron the fabric to them. Looks great!

@stephyoungrenАй бұрын
Hm for the seat area maybe a long dowel that you can tuck under the main back seam? That might help lock it in place. And then maybe do some small hand stitching on the sides to keep it in place? Or those small button snaps you can hand sew onto the sides. Not totally sure if that would work but just some ideas!

That is so sad that you didn’t reach the St Ouen market. It is definitely the most well known, and has everything, and anything you could possibly imagine, although it can be a little pricey. Porte De Vanves is the second most popular, and not as costly. I hope you get to go back one day.

Wonderful! Can you please tell me what was the width before and after pleating? I want to order curtains online and don't know what dimensions I should buy. The final width of the curtains after pleating should be 2.70m. Thank you!
@stephyoungrenАй бұрын
Ok so typically you want your curtains to be 2x (or 2.5x) the width of your rod so that when you add the pleats its gathers nicely. So I would take your overall rod length and multiply that by 2 or 2.5. Whatever that number is, is the total width (before pleats) that you’ll need. Hope that helps!

SO with you on the all-white kitchens and subway tile. In my dream kitchen re-do, I will have Zellige tile. Thankfully I know not one person who has them. And I am giggling at your commentary re: about finding a home for your plants or feeling guilty. Same, girl. Same. I used to be Team Houseplant and herbs but I'm over the upkeep. Orchids is as far as I go now. Spring 2024 is all about wood tones, sage greens and travertine! Even in Target's Studio McGee and Magnolia Home. Cool tones are out and warm tones are in.

Hi, I just watched your video because I have one of those same chairs. The bottom just blew out. If you touch the foam it just crumbles. The bottom carrier is the webbing with the compliment of foam that was in the bottom cushion but it was sewn to the bottom. It came apart as one piece… Thanks for the tip on the chair back. I was going to tuft the back again but it looks better without it. I hope you added the bottom strecher across the top under the front seat cushion. Send me a picture of your finished project.

I admire how neat you are. I have watched a lot of people just slap the compound on vertically or in no direction which is not how pottery is made on a wheel. Also the way you paint with a brush horizontally then use sponges and paper towel. I'm not a big DIYer but these things simply make sense to me. Some of the others videos send my OCD into overdrive lol. Beautiful outcome with the flowers👌

Your bedroom and entire apartment are coming together so beautifully! It’s feeling so tranquil, airy and beautiful for a city apartment. By the way, are your Roman shades blackout or light-filtering? If they are light-filtering, do you feel like they provide enough privacy at night? I'm having trouble deciding on the best option for my bedroom window since it faces the street. Thanks for the inspiration! Please keep posting your home projects on KZbin!
@stephyoungren4 ай бұрын
Aw thank you so much! The Roman shades are considered “room darkening” so definitely provide privacy while not completely blocking out the light. No one can see through. It’s a nice balance if you don’t need full blackout. Hope that helps!
