Thankyou for the video mate. My dewalt is doing the exact same and I was going to take it apart but I tried this and it works great now.👍

My loo has suddenly started filling in "pulses" after the flush. Any ideas?

See this video is 7 years old but really helped me, slow filling cistern and all KZbin videos were telling me to disconnect the water from under the cistern to clean a filter. Thought I’d try this first and bought 3x valves on Amazon for €5 and it fixed issue immediately! Amazing, thanks a million for making the video 👍🏻

Thank you so much!! Finally managed to fix the toilet which has been getting worse and worse the last six months. Feeling really chuffed that I both found the problem and the solution with your video. It was a bit fiddly getting those three stages together (partner finally managed that bit), but toilet now filling in seconds. And the rubber bit is still 2.50 on Amazon all these years later. 😊

Very good video. You obviously know what you're doing, but it seems this threw even you a bit of a curve ball with the flickering issue. As a younger man I'd have given it a go...but these days I think I'd have to get a proper "sparky" in...

I don’t think I’m able to turn my water off from the toilet itself, I love in a flat would it work if I take the water off for the whole flat and replace?
@handymancraftglasgowАй бұрын
There is usually a stop cock for the flat that will cut off the water. Just double check the water is off to the toilet, sometimes there can be more than one stop cock for a property.

Hello I have the same mira go show with the video. The problem with mine is it randomly turns off during mid shower and it will come back again after few seconds. when it turns off all the light in the power is gone including the main switch can help me please what could be the problem?
@handymancraftglasgowАй бұрын
Sounds like a loose wire in the main switch. Call an electrician to have a look.

I managed to fix my toilet thanks to you and this video you made (and the link provided to the part needed). I appreciate it, thank you very much.

The capacitor should run parallel with the L1 the flicker is coming from the fact that the switch is always running power through L1 even when it's off. the capacitor on L1 (only) is designed to minimize that electricity when the switch is off.

I'm still able to clean the filter but that is way to difficult for me. I'm 76 and on my own. Your video was great to watch . Fancy having a man like you around the house.

I did this, it was split. So I paid £5.38 to get another and replaced it. Now I have a constantly running into the basin problem. Turning the water off the problem stops. So it is somehow connected with the part I just replaced. I unscrewed it and put it on again, trying to make sure everything was aligned. Lol, it was worse. Ahhhhhhhhh Grrrrrr.

Good video, now I know why my cistern is slow filling. I see you also have a bidet spray. I;m looking to fit one of these. Hard to dom and keep UK compliant. I'm fitting a couple of shower single check valves (ie same asma double check valve). Any comment please?

Job i might have to tackle so very handy vid. Should there be washer of some sort in metal connector
@stephencolligan2 ай бұрын
Didn’t really work for me,unfortunately . The top part wouldn’t unclip without first removing most of the bottom parts first.There was no way it was going to lift clear of the ‘white tube’ going into the solenoid,otherwise. Also there was still water in it,unlike yours,which didn’t help either. The bit about fishing out the ‘o’ ring came in useful though

Thanks man - I hadn't got a scooby doo about this before watching your vid. First time my element blew on the old electric oven in my flat. I'll try getting the old element out later to see if I can find a serial no to get a replacement. Better that than fork out for a new oven when its 300-500 quid a pop. What a friggin rip off.
