FYI: The 90 degrees refers to the elbow joint relative to the forearm and upper arm. The reference figure of 36 would be age and sex matched, so this is not for everyone to consider. Cut-points like this are useful sometimes for measures of fitness in some areas but mostly just a tool for scientist's and clinician's to have a benchmark. The ultimate goal is to simply get better at push-ups as it translates to real world improvement in strength changes. For females performing the test, the main thing is for test and re-test, stay consistent. I.e. it might be useful to measure the distance between where the knees are and where her hands are and ensure that distance is always adhered too, otherwise the knees can be placed forwards or backwards and this changes the angle, leverage and hence difficulty of the push-up for women.

Well done video, though there is no reason to raise the pressure to 200, ouch. For a healthy, young person I might go to 160, or even 140, then drop. If you find that's too low, wait about one minute (or even less) and then go higher. You drop from 180 to 100 in about 5 seconds. That is a drop of 16mm/second, which is way, way too fast. You risk missing the first Korotkoff sound. A better rate of drop would be about 2-3mm/seconds, so you are much faster than generally accepted. "It is important to deflate the cuff slowly at no more than 2-3 mmHg per second." See www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK593204/#:~:text=It%20is%20important%20to%20deflate,example%2C%20120%2F80%20mmHg.

My height was very good some time ago but unfortunately, Something happened to my height and i donno what is the reason. Is it because I am obsessed with heights or is it's cuz of some health issues. I have a D level of 11 but to be healthy enough, one should have D level of up to 40. Although, I have a backache. Any suggestion?
@Ayush-z7j6 ай бұрын
Don't obsess with your height because it's basically depend on your genes and there is no connection of your success with your height and no connection with your confidence your confidence depends upon your knowledge if you're knowledgeable person you'd be confident automatically you'll only ruin your health by obsessing with this so stop thinking this shit it's a part of your body just measure and be happy how much you are
