This is ideal. Question. Is it too heavy with 2 people on. Would love to do this same thing with confidence someone could also be on back seat while stay on pedastal. Wouldn’t necessarily need a 2.5 hp on back

Probably way too late to help or matter, but check out the electrical industry straps called " Conduit hangers". They range in size from I think, 3/8", 1/2",3/4",1",1-1/4",1-1/2" & 2" sizes. After 2" size they offer a 2-1/2"& 3-1/2" size in addition to the standard inch sizes up to 6", if I remember correctly? You can pick the size that's the closest on what you're dealing with and the see if you can rig them to work. Hope it may help someone. Take care.

Not even sure if I will get a response since this is so old but I just acquired one and wondering what I need to buy to run the battery in the back and trolling motor in the front. I have seen some videos that I need a new socket in the front or something?

Don't know if this is still relevant but you could cut your poles in half. Use brass inserts and 1/4 x20 threaded studs to assemble them. We use their shalow anchors for kayak tourney fishing. The rope going up isn't neccessary... Cool idea tho.

The only problem with lake woodlands is they don’t allow gasoline motors. They used to allow you to only troll with them but now you cant even use them at all, it’s exclusively electric only.

Nice neat organized set up. Only thing that would prevent me from doing something similar is in the past I have done a jon boat very similar and hated dealing with the added weight on the front when loading the boat. I have been considering a boat along the lines of this and for my use would be more apt to not add any additional weight besides motors, trolling battery and depth finder. But very nice work!

Nice video! You need to look into the "no snag" tie method for your deep water anchor. Several videos on YT show this technique using a small tie wrap at the eye and the main knot tying to the bottom point of the anchor. If you snag on rocks you pull the rope until the tie wrap breaks, anchor flips, and you pull it back by it's point. I've saved my kayak anchor (similar to yours in design) at least a dozen times when I would have otherwise lost it in 25 ft of water.

A blazing 6.5mph - I have to take my hat off to keep from loosing it! All seriousness, I like the added weight on the back, it helps level out the boat when I’m up front, plus the lower unit helps the boat track straight through the water. Also, the gas motor greatly increases my range from the boat ramp! All the best!

I'm building a pontoon/catamaran style boat. I'll be using an anchor system similar to yours. My first thoughts were along the line of a small hose reel. Rigging some kind of stop (lever) to let the anchor down. Using the crank on the hose reel to lift it when not needed. One in the front and one in the rear. For deeper water anchoring. For shallow water anchoring I'll be using EMT tubing. First thought was to have them pivot and lay along the side of the boat when not in use. Question, why don't you use the same technique to tilt them down as you did for raising and lowering ? That is how I'll be doing mine. I wont be using those little gadgets you used. I'll just go with pullies from the hardware store. On a non-existent budget. Can't afford a boat....so, I JUST BUILT ONE.

Hey MaxCast....Really like your video's...I also built a transom saver for my bass raider and i was wondering if this boat cover fits with the addition of your transom saver. Also, looks like leaving the seats in should not be a problem, right? . How is the cover holding up in the weather? I have gone through several covers and not found a durable bass raider cover. I saw a Pelican cover on Amazon but it looks like i would have to take seats out in order to fit.. Thanks for your help.
