HI. I dont remember you saying in your video but what in thickness and type of board are you using as the top piece of your casting deck extension?
@maxcastfishing43573 жыл бұрын
It’s 3/4in piece of wood that was 12in by 4ft purchased from Lowe’s.

Hey Charlie, I’ve been fishing w my Bass Raider for a year now and love it. Just got an Epropulsion outboard and it’s great for trolling. (Need to do the transom reinforcement). So I’m finally starting the casting deck project. (Cut all my wood yesterday). So, you’d still recommend building the deck and then adding the extension? Without the extension, is your Troll King access comfortable? (Im going to install the TK. He’s out of stock at the moment). I’m 6’ 2 1/2” and I’m wondering about leg room. Also, do you run down the highway w the trolling motor strapped down like in the video? Thanks so much for the awesome videos. Scott

I personally like both the original deck and the extension, and I’d build it the same way over again. I like have the extra space when I’m by myself, but it’s nice to remove it when someone else is fishing with you. I mainly use the seat pedestal slot that’s closer to the front, but I now use a taller, adjustable seat pedestal. I’m 6ft and it works well for me. The Troll King was worth every penny! All the best!!

Yes, I leave the trolling motor on there, but you need to make a block to tighten it down so it doesn’t damage the shaft.

I’m honestly trying to find out the advantage of the extension. You say that if you were to fish with someone you would be able to take the extension out. Would you be taking it out in order to put the chair that came with the boat in that spot?

Ya I don’t get it either

How stable is the boat fishing from the casting deck? And how tall is your pedestal?
@maxcastfishing43572 жыл бұрын
The pedestal itself is 11in and with seat bracket it makes it 14.5in. The boat is stable with controlled movements. It’s way more stable than a kayak. All the best!

Hi there - great video. Picking up my BR10E today. I don't see the floor panel size and template? I want to start with that mod on mine first. Please let me know thanks.

In an earlier video, did you mention where you get the marine carpet? Thank you in advance.
@maxcastfishing43574 жыл бұрын
I picked up this carpet from Lowes. It's indoor/outdoor carpet/rug. It was around $20. All the best!

Nice job! You mentioned the magnet strip there at the end of the video. I wonder if you could use some strong magnets instead of the clamps to hold the 2 halves together. Either way it is cool addition.
