For some of the video the patients arms are moving and I can’t describe how unsettling this feels on dummy.

This is quite an interesting setup. I would also recommend a CPR pocket mask/face-shield as a form of barrier protection, along with 2 triangle dressings. I'm not sure how it is in the U.S.; but, in Australia, the government through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) supplies us with emergency medications for our 'emergency doctor's bag'. I normally like to keep a few ampoules of adrenaline 1:1000 too

I'm a firefighter/paramedic, and I carry basically all this same stuff in my personal kits, and the vast majority of it is NAR! I do however consider the mylar blanket/space blanket part of my "essential" category though, as treating for hypothermia when a trauma patient is in shock is a critical care component. When an injury is severe enough to require a tourniquet, the likelihood of hypovolemic shock is pretty high, and shock can kill ***fast***. It's an item that's small enough and light enough to be thrown in most EDC style kits, so I definitely recommend carrying that with your major hemorrhage/trauma essentials, then toss some extras with your second and third line items.

I think you should include some antiseptic spray to disinfect wounds. You dont want to put band aid on dirty wound and water wont get rid off bacteria and etc.
@jetseverschuren10 күн бұрын
Studies have been done on this topic, cleaning a wound with just water had similar infection rates as chlorhexidine, while water also didn't damage new cells (which chlorhexidine did do)

But did Lexus actually make a convertible? Great reaction to this rare and hallowed artistic impression of an essential piece of emergency and critical care timelessly cemented forever in the pop culture. Thanks for what you do! God bless y'all! (They did make a convertible-- even had room for a car seat in the back)

who will walk with that kind of kit ? can you teach us how to do it with things that are easy to find
@thomasb.5813 күн бұрын
This procedure is only for medical professionals and people specifically trained in this procedure. A first aid lecture and first aid in general provides better ways to help someone who is not breathing, than to do something this invasive with a knife or a scalpel with which you could easily injure the patient additionally or kill him if not done correctly. Performing the Heimlich Maneuver or Chest compressions can be a better idea depending on the scenario. I hope you'll have a nice day.👍🏻

I had a quick question, do you have to keep NPAs in the packaging for sterilization reasons ? Or can i take it out so it fits better in my kit
@EdwardGallegos-jj7rx28 күн бұрын
Hey, I'm a paramedic: keep it in the packaging, just roll it up so it fits but don't break the sterile packaging. Nasal mucosa and airway are highly vascular regions so it's best practice to keep them contaminant free and sterile as possible.

Thank you for clarifying that you can only apply a tourniquet if the bleeding cannot be stopped with pressure dressing or direct pressure. So many people jump to using the tourniquet

@thebloodstonegamers9899Ай бұрын
yeah, like hide is more of a temporary thing run is the first thing you do make sure not to run without knowing the perimeters they could counter by surrounding the school I doubt they have a large amount of people in the shooting but still you don't wanna get shoot while running go zigzag and of you get shoot once actually I think the constant moving will increase adrenaline and if you get shoot you will be able to continue to run so it's a wide range of possibility.

eveyone is an OPERATOR. next the badge will say POLICE OPERATOR... Sorry to hurt your feelings BUT Not even FBI regional SWAT are operators. HRT, SOG, CAT might be. Just because NOTA class certificate says OPERATOR, because you have all the sexy gear and 10 330 toys does not make you one. Like LARPing with live ammo BUT THE KIT IS GREAT Do a break out on the kit, not a SWAT promo

Looks like a nice piece of kit for first responders. I see a limited application for military operations, in that many standard units won't have the kind of support that Spec Ops units get. Those medical personnel have to carry their own sustainment gear as well as medical supplies. I've been utilizing a discontinued 5.11 shoulder bag that resembles the old USN unit 1 bag with additional large GP pouches. This allows me to ditch my sustainment or patrol pack if needed and still provide multi- personnel resources to any wounded or injured.

@tanksoldier2 ай бұрын
One of the reasons they went to high and tight is that with loads of blood all over, bloody clothes & bloody patient, you may miss a higher wound assuming that the wound you can see is the only one. High and tight will never be wrong, 2-3 inches might be.
