Hello You say that as a beginner we can learn by mimicing others. Like play a youtube video then say phrases behind that video. But if we don't write we will forget what was said in that video. But writing everything in a hour video takes a lot of time. Can you please suggest anything? Like should we just listen to the video and repeat every phrase without writing? What about we forgetting everything next day? Or even after few hours? If we do shadowing we will forget everything. Do you need to write too? Writing takes a lot time and feel exhausting

Hi Katharine - please confirm if I think in correct way: To keep your options open is an opposite to idiom '' do not pull your egss into one basket, innit? :)

I do not know if I responded before. So, here it goes on your old videos. I did read ‘Pride and Prejudice’ in 1979 when I was 20 years old. The words you mentioned are very interesting to know. Some I will use. “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” “If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.” Wow, I wish I could talk to women this way but they will just call me a creep. We all miss the old days. Anyway, good to know.

Very nice, helpful video. I am with a theater company which will be staging "Brigadoon" next March so I am hoping to learn a Scottish accent. Also Katharine, you remind me very much of my youngest daughter, especially the bubbly personality. Thank you!

Dear teacher Katherine...I do really like your videos. Please do not stop doing it. I'd like some videos about reading...it'd be great having the opportunity to listening to you while you read out loud. That, I think, would be very useful. Thanks 🎉

In france, our idiom which sounds like « kill 2 bird with one stone » is : « d’une pierre 2 coups » it means the same but we’re not killing any birds !! Poor birds 😂
