It's an early wraparound bridge, the type still used on Juniors. The one on the Oxblood is original to that instrument (originally a Goldtop with P90's) and does show a lot of wear, with much of the chrome plating worn off, showing the softer and lightly corroded metal underneath. It's actually unusual to find a wraparound on a guitar of that era that isn't looking a little rough, but they do continue to sound good, and intonate far better than you would expect.

I don’t think so. He played a highly flamed burst on those albums with the serial number 91864. It features prominently in live pictures with the Jeff Beck Band.
@thejimmymeisterАй бұрын
It is the Truth guitar. I've read that he stripped the finish between the Yardbirds and Truth. It suffered a headstock break at some point and got a botched repair job. Beck hated the new neck and the one-off oversized headstock with a gaudy floral inlay. (Evidently, that replacement neck has been replaced itself.) I've also read that the pickups were replaced, but I'm not sure because that's obviously harder to tell from pictures than a custom headstock. He got a very flamey Les Paul while on the Truth tour, and there are a few pictures of him using it on stage from that time. I think Beck-Ola is a Strat, but if there's a Les Paul on it, I'd guess that it's that one, not the Yardburst. It was in a Beauty of the Burst book; the serial number is 9 1864.

@@TheSterlingSound That guitar is the one he bought from Rick Nielson after his Yardbirds Les Paul suffered a headstock break. It originally had a Bigsby, and was stolen while on tour in 1969. All estimates way too low. If I win Euro millions I WILL buy the white wired album cover Strat.

couple those guitar estimates are fairly low, that's the price if they were just ordinary off the wall vintage guitars, being Becks? hale who knows millions I spose? close to it, just have to wait and see how many wealthy fans want to enter into bidding wars . . I see 4-5 that should bring big money, les paul, teles, and strats . . yup

As desirable as they are, these guitars are only tools and will finish in the safe of a billionnaire (or at Hard Rock Cafe). What is unfortunately not for sale is the talent and genius of the owner.

It's standard practice to encourage buyers, put the estimate near the value and it scares people off
