So still can't find a great answer. Can we really only export as a gif? Is there zero video formats or modes? If not it's a shame. Especially with the animated camera plugin

Great tutorial! I found this very helpful! Can you do a tutorial on low poly skirts? Also I have some animation advice. The poke ball is spinning in the air like a bay blade. It should be spinning in a way where the top and bottom colors are flipped. That’s because most of the time it’s throw like a base ball. Then you should add more key frames and mainly adjust deceleration. Because default it always looks mechanical and lack the uneven way things fly through the air. I’d watch why attack of the clones looks like a video, for a more detailed explanation. Sorry for the big comment.

2:06 I'm very new to pixel art still (even though I've had the software for like a year and a half) but it is such a relief that you also use the selection tool to check the pixels and see if what I'm making is distanced correctly. Genuinely I thought I was going about it all wrong but this short, maybe 2 seconds of sped up footage really took a lot of stress off my back about stuff like this.

Let's say a bounce takes a second(with 60fps). I'll divide it into 5 parts that's 12 frames each. Set 1st frames y position to 0 (on ground) then the last frame the 60th frame to 0 as well. In the middle 30th frame set y to let's say 1 then grab the 12th frame from both sides (that's 12th and 48th frames) and set them to 0.75 height. And I let the animator calculate the curves. After it's done I can just shorten or widen the animation as needed. The proportions stay the same. Going up fast 1/5ths of anim duration. 75% of Max height Staying airborne 3/5ths of anim duration. Max height Going down fast 1/5ths of anim duration. 75% of Max height

I know this video is 4 years old. But what you say at 4:00 about someone needing to be "concerned" about seeing artwork in a sketchbook is really toxic. I think you make a joke of it. But it's not funny. And it is really passive-aggressive bullying whether you realized it or not. I just wanted to point that out to you. Your pixel artwork is amazing. But when you talk like that, you really push some other creators away who might be really beneficial to work with. Talking about death, making magical death characters, and things like that is not a sign of mental illness nor violent threatening behavior. It's not a fine joke to be like "Oh haha, are you mentally ill or some kind of murderer?".

Low Poly Pixelart is underrated (iirc it's treated as its own medium). I love seeing it up close, crisp, and unapoligetic like many 3DS/PSP titles. Heck, even Gen 5 of Pokemon used it as a hybrid style and the backgrounds that are Low-Poly Pixelart are gorgeous when you remove the blur filters. I wish more games utilized it with crisp detail!

I feel like the one thing that pikachu dance needs for a finishing touch is just a bit of stretch and squash to add some extra energy to the animation. These are so fun to see, though. I love how the bright colour palette comes out on the crt

I know you are a pixelart blender but I just know you'd love playing around in Blender 3D as well.

It seems like you already figured this out, but for those wanting to create smoother animations such as the 360 turnaround, it's usually a good idea to set the last keyframe one frame ahead of when the animation stops, or instead of rotating the model 360 degrees doing so by 359 degrees. If you simply have it stop on the same rotation as it started on, you'll have two identical frames right at the loop point, creating a slight stutter that makes the loop more obvious. I'm not sure if Blockbench has some sort of system in place to deal with that on its own, but in other programs like Blender, it's a good thing to keep in mind.

I really like blockbench because of its simplicity, I just wish they would add bone rigging and better uv mapping and Im sure it will become the best go to software modeling low poly and ps1 style models.

The cover looks absolutely stunning. But as a graphic designer, I advise you to avoid at all costs using white text on such bright yellow backgrounds (unless you outline it with a dark color), it has very low readability, especially from a distance. Had you used black text it would've been perfect.
