Gould Brothers, Use a 750 grain annealed bronze solid or 750 grain trillium .50 bmg match bullets and see what new test results you'll get!

Gould Brothers, should have picked out a heavier grain like a 190 grain, 200 grain, 220 grain, including a 230 grain Burger to test with.

A great video with my friend and favorite shooter Jerry Miculek. Just a simple criticism...for future videos lets have the range clear and quiet. I love you guys

It has 90%+ to do with the projectile soley. If you revisited it with a SIERRA,BURGER HPBT let alone an FMJ in the 300 it would have broke at LEAST 10-15 more? All that being said I liked the idea of the test. God bless the fury of a 7.62.... 30cal is the gas

With the ballistics of that shell you basically have to be in the same zip code.

Need an update with more reasonable host firearms (and optimized ammo). Traditional 12ga barrel lengths aren’t for ballistics but sight, swing, sound, and fitting the rack at the club.

If you want accuracy, use a rifle. If you want to have fun, use a longbow.

still not as fast as a demo video I have seen back in the 2000's for a speed shooting gun. Pretty sure this demo video, they managed to shoot 12 targets and the last one was more than 20 ft in the air when it was shot.

I wonder if a rwd car would take more since those were hitting side of the block maybe less if you hit a timing chain

I'd like to ????????? well I can't even begin to beleave the 500yds shoot on the ballon! I've shoot at 200yds and with NO REFERANCE point (like he did) VERY VERY hard 4 hits out of 12 on a 48" feild target AND WITH NO HAND MOVEMENT. The amout of movement in his hand woudn't have even hit something 6' square let alone 48" or less SORRY NO WAY been there done that

most never consider bullet structure when doing tests such as this. you should make sure all bullets tested are the same type/structure, maybe as one comment suggested: full metal jacket.

I think using expanding ammunition which reduces penetration put the 300 Win Mag at a major disadvantage-Those expanding ammunitions are meant to dump penetrating power while they are expanding An ammunition like Full Metal Jacket that and chances penetration should have been used I'm not talking about armor piercing ammo but a good regular ammo that doesn't expand I agree with you quick expanding ammunition usually means it's not meant to penetrate it's meant to take that energy and expand so right there the 300 Win Mag was at a very big disadvantage I don't know if the 308 had expanding ammunition as well but that's not how you usually test penetration because the ammo is supposed to minimize penetration and expand

Very good video but all the corny unnecessary jokes to make Jerry laugh were unnecessary. It was already very difficult to hear with all noise from other people letting off. But still a very good video good bros.

Start out with a cylinder tube until you’re hitting 75%+ Then step up Skeet, Improved, until you’re hitting 75-80% with a Light Modified. Stick with LM unless you have a really long bird use Mod or Impv Mod as a one off if you’d like.

People need to remeber to not compare this or any of the modern straight wall rounds to the old ones or bottle beck cartridges. This round was specifically created for the holy land of whitetail hunting (the midwest) because they are only restricted to use slug guns and muzzleloaders, center fire bottle necks will always be superior, this round now fills the void it essentially makes the slug and muzzleloader obsolete unless you just use them for personal preference or nostalgic reasons
