Arnold doesn't have to be the man in his first starting year. Let his skill players and RB's carry the load as he gets more game experience. Just don't force it.

Look at JJ Mcarthy, before the season ended last year, very few people said JJ was a top QB because of the elite talent around him, mean while we are seeing Carson Beck get the hype of the #1 QB prospect for next year. The elite talent on a team can make QBs better, but the QB has to show he’s that guy to push them to the next level.

One thing Nuss got going for him is he will be operating behind the BEST OLine in '24. Bookend 1st round picks. I'll give you guys a lil headsup being you mentioned all that talent LSU losing at WR and QB. Way way back in '06 LSU was the 1st college team in history to lose QB and 2 WRs in 1st round of same draft. Now they done did it for the 2nd time. LSU WON it all in '07 with an offense that scored even more points a game. Tigers don't lack offensive skill players. Nuss got some bootdawgs at his disposal. GN will contend for SEC post season honors. Expect something like 3,000-3,300 yards passing. His bowl game 395 yards passing would have slid into 3rd spot in JD5s top 5 passing games at LSU. Led LSU back from 14 point deficits twice to tie in bowl game. Then late 4th quarter took his offense on a 96 yard drive for the WIN. He's got a cannon just as strong as arnold. QB coach Joe Sloan was the main reason for JD5 big jump from '22 to '23. He's now OC and is working year 3 with Nuss. Top shelf WRs grown like weeds in LA. Tigers not only return quality at WR. CBK picked up leading receiver from an SEC school. Brought in another that's one of a handful returning with 1,000 receiving yards (19.4 YPC avg) and double digit TDs. As good as malik and BTjr were. Chris Hilton was the top LA WR in that loaded LA '21 class with those two and coleman that just got drafted from fsu. Aaron Anderson was #1 LA WR in '22 5*. Lacey was tigers #3 WR last year but he led team in YPR with 18.6 avg. Sheldon Sampson was #1 WR in LA '23 class.

Both OTs are slated to go 1st round in '25. Many have Campbell being 1st OLineman taken. didn't lose a SINGLE player to mizzou. Maybe you got us messed up with another LSU/

Just remember guys, Arnold has never been an accurate thrower. This was clearly evident in HS. What he is though is a great game manager who is tough as nails and a bigtime competitor. If you think he’s suddenly going to morph into some pinpoint accurate passer you’ll be disappointed.

Why does everyone look at Oklahoma when criticizing the transition into the SEC and not Texas? They lost a lot on the interior defensive line and didn’t do too good in the portal on the line and we all saw that secondary in that spring game. Also three new receivers projecting to start expected to learn this offense and each other in one off-season? Very high task right there. Only problem Oklahoma really has is the o-line but Bedenbaugh is the o-line coach. Watch Oklahoma do better than Texas. Not saying it’s gonna happen but if it does, I won’t be one bit of surprised

I could understand if Texas rolled us but they were lucky be in the game . 2 very close loses on the road to best ku team 15 years . Arizona 6 turnovers still got 600 yds held Arizona to 400. Texas schedule little easier but I still don’t get it. Think Ann Arbor may get them maybe people tap the breaks .

We love a good disagreement so we don’t take offense to your opinion. Tell us why you think Nico should be over Jackson? What experience does LSU bring back as offensive weapons. Their OL is expected to be great but how much could that make up for a lack of experience to the guys playing WR and RB.

Jackson will shine but a QB has to have good players around him to be elite. Tho OLine must perform, WRs have to make catches and RB has to be a threat. A defense has to make stops. OU under Riley, tried to win the big ones with only elite QB play. That takes you a long way but will never win the big one for you. I like what I see in OU overall talent and depth.
