How do you put the paintings on the trapdoor? Im stuck on that

8:09 I on one server once found a griefed base and decided to repair it and live in it on a Polish server (im from Poland) and it looks identical to this main area. Just you know I repaired based on what logicly everywhere should be so my repair a year ago was a lil different. Weird to see a base I lived in being in a video.

I know this was made 5 years ago but wow this house is so amazing to build. On my world which I play with my friends with I built this but I switched the oak with spruce and the roof I made the outline of with spruce stairs and slabs and the roof filling with deepslate tile slabs and stairs. You have amazing talent and thank you for providing such an amazing tutorial!

A little tip for the people who watched this video, if you replace all the ceiling with some polished blackstone brick stairs and polished deepslate stairs, as well as polished blackstone bricks and deepslate brick, it would look nicer, and it would make it more of a medieval vibe rather than a modern vibe with the normal materials for the ceilings. Also, another cool feature to use is similar, but on the floor, using polished deepslate slabs and polished blackstone slabs into a checkerboard type style as seen in the video with the andesite and stone brick slabs. One more thing to mention. If you do decide to put your nether portal inside your base and put fencing onto the ground to block mobs from entering, i would recommend to use the fences and place them upwards as well, because sometimes a blaze might come through, as it did for me, which was unfortunate.. Anyways, just a tip..

Is there a way to close these (half block) gaps between the outer wall and the roof which occur with the roof designs which make use half block increments? I‘m completely new to the game and trying to figure out if there is some way to fill those half block gaps which occur at certain points with these roof designs? If someone could help me answer this question, I‘d be very grateful!
