I have this theory that is the cold water that somehow is the responsible for the weight loss and not the swim exercise itself. In the summer i am only 20m each day on the water, just standing still i don't swim at all and i clearly see and feel that i've lost weight in the end of the day we don't even need to weigh.

Losing fat is about working out the muscles. Basically challenging them to get stronger. You need muscles to burn fat. If you don’t grow the muscles then you won’t burn off fat. Burning calories isn’t that important. You can burn calories by not doing anything, just as long as you have enough muscles to burn off those calories.

Burning calories doesn't have anything to do with temperature. If that was the case, you can slim down by going to a sauna, but that only removes water weight not fat. Burning calories comes from converting your stored fat into energy, and you do that with cardiovascular exercise.

I starve myself more to burn calories just eat the 3 main meals Im 11 and i eat around 1.4k calories and burn around 2.2K For breakfast i eat 2 scrambled eggs at 400 kcal For lunch i eat chicken curry or katsu shredded chicken at 400kcal And for dinner i eat soup at 500 kcal and maybe a bit of fruit between meals

I’m a runner chiefly. I’m aware of this limitation. Honest to talk about it 😂. But swimming really comes into its own with injury prevention in an all-body workout. EVERYONE- runners or non-runners ought to swim.
