Hi ! This is great video! It’s so true what you said! I have done bachelor’s in 2004 and masters in 2009. I have long gap of not working now I want to go back to work after raising kids. What do you suggest me to do to get into CRC or even assistant to start with. Is there any possibility to get into CRC with this huge education gap?

I’ve been seriously considering going back to school… I have a computer science background but with ai, the future for entry level programming is looking bleak. My step dad was a manager of clinical trials when I met him, now he’s like the director or something. He worked from home (except for his monthly visits), so I feel like I picked up on some things, a lot of the lingo, at least. Also heard a lot of cras get fired over the years. He’d always be sad those days. He always said he’d be able to get me a good job… idk, I just might go for it. Would also improve our relationship🙃

Yes clinical research is a great field. But a CRA is not an entry level position so you may not get a job as a CRA to start. Many people transition from a clinical research coordinator (which is entry level) and work their way up. God bless and I pray you get the job you are looking for.

Hi Marley, thank you for the video. I have a question...who books your flights, your car hire and your hotel? Do they give you the freedom to do it yourself (within a limited budget of course) or does the company get all that done for you? Thank you. 🙂

I came across your page while watching your KZbin videos regarding CRA experience. I recently applied and made it to my second interview but later was denied the job. The feedback I received was more CRC experience and onsite monitoring experience. I’ve been a CRC for 3. Years now. Do you have any tips to break into the industry?
@MarleyKim
@MarleyKim 6 ай бұрын
You can apply for a company that has a CRA training program like parexel, and iqvia. Look into those. Being a CRC has some transferable skills but it doesn’t really prepare you for the CRA role entirely so those programs help.

Really good stuff you shared. I just interviewed earlier, but just wanted to review post-interview and you were totally right. Luckily we had a structured interview, but I made sure to to have >6 STAR examples I was well versed in. What I should've done was rank the STAR answers by the best ones, because there was one example that was better that I should've used, but regardless I was able to blast my strengths all interview and give detailed examples and mirrored the social cues that interviewer was giving and in the end they said they LOVED me. See what I did there haha? Now if I ever had a conversational interview in the future, I'll know how to do it thanks to your tips too.

Thank You! This really helped me a lot in my 1st CRA interview. I was very anxious and nervous because I was a Study Coordinator for 2 years and does not have any monitoring experience. Though I known the process from regularly seeing it from my monitors, this is a bit more in depth and helps me see through the other side, the sponsor's / monitor's perspective. Best video so far I have come across YT regarding CRA interview questions! =)

Hi. A nice video. I live in Baltimore, MD but would like to move to Orlando, FL for different reasons. I’ve been all over Florida from Jacksonville down to to Key West. I just like the palm trees, warm weather and law and order in FL. I’m educated with a Master’s degree in IT, still young, never married and no kids. Did you have money before you moved to FL? Did you have a job lined up before you even got there from Philly? Does it take a while for your body to adjust to the heat everyday in FL when living there? Any good job resources you recommend? Good luck. Thanks. 👍🏻
