So true. 1980 was an incredibly bland and vapid year for music -- sadly punctuated by John Lennon's murder.

I'm young enough to have never heard of M2M until I picked up a Radio Disney Jams CD at a thrift shop where Don't Say You Love Me was on. The opening lyrics are so dated, it's hilarious! The rest of the lyrics were meh and their voices were kinda annoying. You can tell they were teenagers when they made the song! I also found out that it was originally off the soundtrack of a Pokemon movie of all things! I never got into Pokemon. I know, insane, right? But if I were to start watching the movies or shows or play the games, where should I start?

I haven't seen Janitor in a Drum in DECADES! That ad brought me memories of my childhood days in the early 1970's

"Do That To Me One More Time" is s perfect example of cringe in 1980!

"Working Class Man" was used for an Optus (Australian phone company) ad in 2015. I'm pretty sure there was a previous use in the 1990s, but I can't find any corroboration for that. The song was written by Jonathon Cain, founding member of The Babies, keyboardist for Journey from 1980 and founding member of Bad English. Cain has been married to that prosperity gospel ghoul, Paula White, since 2015.

I know that David GuEtta has many songs which exist, but I can’t think of any that I enjoy at all. But lately with his career decisions, I was disappointed that “I don’t want to wait” wasn’t a Paula Cole remake, followed by disappointment that “Forever Young _was_ a remake of the well-worn Alphaville tune. No matter what he tries to do, I am nearly as disappointed in it as I was with the Kamala Harris post-convention campaign strategy. & I certainly did not have Falling In Reverse scoring a Pop hit on my 2024 bingo card. The song is ass; kind of left me wishing it was a Foo Fighters remake (or even K-ci & Jojo) but I appreciate that it happened. Fingers crossed that in 2025 a similar song that’s fronted by an anti-idiot who hasn’t gotten anyone murdered could hit the charts without the use of that obnoxious Jelly Roll twang that asphyxiates everything it touches.

16:41 So disappointed that you didn’t Craig David’s 2000 UK number-one smash, “7 Days”, which is the best song with the “Sunday through Saturday” gimmick.

4:39 Post Malone is like the good Machine Gun Kelly, where it’s like he got exiled from every genre like MGK, but his music’s overall great in every genre!

I was in my early teens when Last Christmas was first released, and it was nowhere near as popular then as it is now. What's wrong with you people? We all would have put it on our Worst Songs of '84 lists if we had KZbin channels back then.

Oh no, it's thoughts that nobody asked for! Drink of choice: My boss sent me a bottle of Italian red wine. I would have preferred straight cash, but like...sure, whatever. -Am I allowed to say positive things about Trump? Oh wait never mind, I hate that assclown. -Here in Poland, we have our own establishment group that does nothing other than not being faith fanatics. The story of Donald Tusk is a fascinating one that has mostly been a legacy of failure. Even when he wins, we still lose. Still better than PiS and Konfederacja, of course, but like...ugh. -Since I'm originally from Wisconsin, I'm reasonably happy with the sportsball that's happening. Brewers are anticlutch, though. Bumper music: No idea what it is, hate it. #10: This is really good by Meghan Trainor standards, which means that it's a solid 2/10. #9: Literally discount Taylor Swift. #8: I'm a brokie and I'm proud of it. I mean...not really because I'd very much like to buy my own place and not spend a ton of money on crazy health insurance and social security payments (that previous PiS government passed and the new government can't get rid of because PiS still controls the presidency). #7: I only recognize Hard Rock Hallelujah, not this dreck. Make Eurovision Great Again, bring back the metal. #6: This ain't no hollaback guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurl. #5: I have no interest in this dude or his drama. #4: Nope, not funny, just awful. #3: Much like most mainstream country music, this is thoroughly tedious. #2: Falling in Butt Metal. HM1: I don't even mind it all that much, but I'll never look for it. HM2: The death metal cover by Allagaeon is actually really good. HM3: No HM4: No HM5: Go love yourself. HM6: No HM7-whatever: I got distracted and couldn't be bothered to go back. #1: Dude has always been trash. Nothing has changed.

I agree with all of the picks except Criminals and That's So True are more meh than bad to me. Also I dont like Kamala, especially for how she treated Palestine, but I can say that she's hellofalot better than Mr. Orange bigot
