I am upset! Jin is my 'bias' and you read and listened to every other member's story on how they joined. You skipped over Jin ( I am sure it was unintentional) and about what he learned and how they all are working towards their 'Master Degrees'. You didn't pause and read, you just talked. These are idols who chose to continue their educations while training and performing. Most idols around the world just quit because fame and money were more important! BTS did not do that. 31:37 Per rispondere al tuo dubbio, è molto comune nel kpop che i gruppi vengano creati tramite audizioni, show di sopravvivenza ecc... ma non è una cosa veloce, per esempio i BTS sono stati formati in 3 anni, partendo dal 2010 con RM, Suga e J-Hope, nel 2011 con Jin, Jungkook e V e nel 2012 con Jimin per poi debuttare insieme nel 2013. Ma non ci sono stati solo loro nel corso degli anni, è una cosa comune che dopo la prima audizione ci siano anche 20/30 tirocinanti che poi vengono scartati o aggiunti piano piano prima di creare il gruppo definitivo. Durante questo periodo di solito i tirocinanti vivono insieme in dormitori (come i BTS) perché molti si trasferiscono a Seoul da altre città o addirittura da altri paesi anche MOLTO giovani 13/14 (come Jungkook che aveva 14 anni) o più e quindi non hanno soldi per mantenersi. Un fatto che fa parte del "dark side" del kpop è infatti il periodo da tirocinante che puo' variare da qualche mese (come Jimin che si è allenato per 6 mesi) o anni (come la rap line) e questo periodo, dipende anche dalle compagnie, è di solito molto stressante e mette a dura prova la salute fisica e mentale dei tirocinanti, i BTS ad esempio sono arrivata ad allenarsi 15/16 ore al giorno per la preparazione dei loro primi album e anche a perdere 5/6 kili nella preparazione per stress ma anche molto per via delle critiche. Il problema principale è che nulla è sicuro finché non debutti e anche dopo, per esempio Jimin è stato scartato ben 7 volte prima di debuttare e i BTS hanno rischiato di sciogliersi nel 2018 per colpa dell'esorbitante pressione che avevano addosso e "anche" nel 2020 per via del termine del contratto, ora serve una grande parentesi: i contratti degli idol kpop di solito hanno durata 7 anni a patire dal giorno del debutto e nel settore c'è una maledizione chiamata "7 year curse" infatti molti gruppi al 7 anno si sciolgono per via di scandali, infortuni, membri che non ri-firmano i contratti ecc... I BTS in realtà si sapeva avrebbero ri-firmato, infatti ora il loro contratto è fino al 2026, ma molti hanno speculato su un possibile scioglimento al tempo. Quando si tratta di queste cose, mi piace far sapere cosa c'è dietro perché molto pensano sia semplice quando in realtà non lo è per nulla, se hai qualche altro dubbio o curiosità sarò felice di risponderti. C'è una serie che ti consiglio vedere se dovesse interessarti conoscere meglio la loro storia e quella del kpop, si chiama "The rise of bangtan", si trova su youtube, è molto lunga e non completa, spero che prima o poi la continuino, ma fatta benissimo ed è stata creata da degli Army!!!

Thanks for the reaction. I enjoyed it. I particularly like Blood Sweat and Tears for all the symbolism in the MV. I like the fact that BTS believes that ARMY are astute enough to dig deeper into the meanings behind the video and have varying opinions about it. There is an interesting piece of writing by Thilde Kold Holdt on her website that analyses many ideas from the MV. Looking forward to your next reaction.

Spring Day is such a beautiful and meaningful song. I think you would like it, but doing some background searching will open up the meaning so much more. One recommendation for a reaction: Mic Drop + Run BTS Live from Busan. The energy is CRAZY. It was the first ever performance of Run BTS and oh boy it shook the fandom! BTS' last concert before their enlistment to the military. An old classic: Danger - one of the first main tracks and honesty just a banger. A wild and funny music video and an amazing song: IDOL An amazing song that I don't see creators reacting that often is: DNA Here are some songs that popped into my mind. all members joined before the group debuted in 2013, they just joined the company at different times before the group was finalized. So in 2013 all 7 were in the group when they dropped the first album/songs.

60 years old, been BTS fan since 2013. I am a drummer/musician and you just can't go wrong with BTS. They sing, dance, rap, play instruments, product, write, the whole package. Probably why their net worth is about 50 million USD each LOL

'Tomorrow' & 'Paradise' were two songs that helped me through a lot of difficulty, recently. ( a shout-out to 'D Day' by Agust D also) The message behind most of their music is motivating, symbolic, heartwarming, innovative , revealing, soothing & massively entertaining. I could never pick one. I love at least 300 of their songs the most & the rest I like a lot. 🥰

Fake Love is from Love Yourself: Tear album. The trilogy of albums Love Yourself: Her, Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer go through 3 stages of a relationship. In Her, the songs are about the early stages of a relationship, when it is new and beautiful and perfect. Tear then explores a relationship that has developed in a toxic way, it sours and tears apart. Fake Love talks about the realisation that you are not being true to yourself, you have become something else that is fake. House of Cards live performance next please. In the last album, Answer, it explores the realisation that to truly love another you must first love yourself. Of course, as with all BTS work, the relationship does not necessarily mean a romantic one, it could be a friendship, their relationship with the music industry, or even your internal struggle as a person. The video is not easy for new reactors to follow as it is part of their fictional storyline, the Bangtan Universe. The water, Fire, snickers etc are all related to that storyline. If you like a puzzle then it is worth following the storyline. Thet released clues and snippets of the story starting with the MV for I Need You in 2015. The story is told through MVs, short stories, a webtoon called Save Me, notebooks and a mobile game. This is across multiple albums from 2015 to now. Or you can cheat like I did. I watched the first 5 MVs, read tge webtoon and then watched an explanation video 😂

Choosing a favourite is like choosing between your children 😂 Suga is my bias (my fav) and I love his song and MV for Daechwita. It starts with traditional Korean music and his rapping is fantastic. The MV tells a story and you can watch a behind the scenes making of which helps explain it. Many of BTS’s MVs have making of videos. It’s hard to pick a favourite Victor. I have my favourites for different reasons. As a group : 1- Make it right ( it’s my wake up alarm on my cellphone), I just love their voices in this track. If you watch the video, DO NOT watch the version with Lauv ( Lauv takes too many of BTS members lines ). 2- Mikrokosmos, because the melody and lyrics are poignant. 3- The Truth Untold ( by the 4 vocalists) . It’s just a beautiful friggin song. 4-Your Eyes Tell ( in Japanese) . It’s a masterclass in singing. 5- Magic Shop ( a song for ARMY). I love their message. 6- Dynamite and Permission to dance are a tie for a pick me up song. Listening to these 2 brings me joy. This is the BTS song that hooked me. The lyrics just grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. The album it is part of (Love Yourself: Tear, 2nd one of their Love Yourself trilogy) is AMAZING. Thought-provoking, hard-hitting introspective lyrics in a variety of genres. A definite favorite.
