I’ve been using the leatt 5.0 shorts. Every time I’ve landed on them they’ve greatly reduced injury. I just crashed recently and fell more on the butt where it’s not protected. So I’m looking at different options that add full padding. I liked the “shinypro “ crash shorts on amazon but haven’t had any track time with them yet.

Hey dude, how good are those Hubba hubs? I've been looking to get some wider hubbs to go with nova tires for some good contact patch but can't find any for less than like 350 bucks. Rn I've got the plastic hubs from mboards. Think I should upgrade?

The hubbas are one of the best deals in esk8. I’ve got a lot of miles on them and they’ve held up great. Multiple colors and they also take RIT dye really well too. I’m actually about to buy another set, he has his whole store at 20% off through October.

What is your unbiased opinion on the Meepo MLR?
@ELECTRIC-DNA5 ай бұрын
I rode the early model of the MLR in the Phoenix expo races. I think it’s going to be a great entry board for racing. Will have to wait and see how the final production boards are before I can really give a full opinion on it but overall it rides like a lower powered stooge board.
@kevinjohnson74685 ай бұрын
@@ELECTRIC-DNAI heard the Meepo MLR is having problems with the hangers breaking causing crashes and some ESC issues. Do you think it is for a rider that weighs more than 180 lbs?

Thank you for doing this review. I ended up buying this actual board I.e. the V1 ‘Demo’ board. As you say, the build quality is exceptional and the board is super responsive with smooth power delivery and braking. Joshua from ION DRIVE was fantastic to deal with, organising shipment to Australia and providing after sales service in helping me set up the BMS app etc. I couldn’t recommend this board enough if you are seeking a fun board to carve the streets or commute to work. The limited production run also makes these boards unique, which I personally think is pretty cool. Happy to respond if anyone has any questions. Cheers, Jeff

What do you think about the miles sex panther?
@ELECTRIC-DNA6 ай бұрын
Couple videos on the channel about it. Overall it was a fun board for its time but I’d look to more updated options at this point.
@geoffnavolt19706 ай бұрын
@ELECTRIC-DNA I heard that before that those boards are outdated but the reviews say the boards are good. I'm in San Diego and miles boards are too so if I had issues with it I can drive to them and not wait for shipping. What do you recommend? I'm looking for $1g longboard with good specs and good customer service.
@ELECTRIC-DNA6 ай бұрын
@geoffnavolt1970 there are so many different options and variables with boards it’s difficult to recommend without knowing more information This is my approach when recommending or deciding on a board. 1, what’s the use? Commuter, off road, fun rides, grocery getter etc. This is the most important step in my opinion and will guide all of the other decisions. If you pick a specific goal or set of goals for the board you’ll end up with a good fit, requiring hopefully minimum changes. 2, what type of wheels/tires do you want. Pneumatic vs street. 3, what types of trucks? DKP, RKP, TKP, Channel, 3links 4, keeping your size and terrain in mind, what kind of range do you want without charging? 5, what kind of speeds do you want to ride as your fastest, then add a little. So if you want to be able to do 30mph occasionally it’s good to get a board that’s capable of say 35mph imo. Think of it like maxing out a 4cyl vs middle of the power band in a V8. Answering those 5 questions after some research will get you closer to picking out a few boards I’m sure. Then you narrow down those based on price, customer service, etc. If the price is too high for what you initially set out for, you begin to make some changes/compromises. But you can decide if you want to lose a little range or speed etc to lower the price.
@geoffnavolt19706 ай бұрын
@ELECTRIC-DNA I made up my mind for 2 boards. Sex panther or the evolve gtr carbon street. Gtr has 3000w per wheel but it goes little slower than sex panther with 1500w per wheel. Wonder why? How do you like the gtr over sex panther?
