Think maybe this could be a learning experience about how much your videos affect the psyche of mod creators? You said it yourself, that your original video was not up to current standards, and that it didn't address real problems with the mod. The mod creator could be petty or crazy, or maybe he's just a guy who was offended when people talk shit about his passion project. He banned you in a way that made him feel smart and good about himself. It's not really a Drake versus Kendrick situation. I guess what I'm saying is, to me, it's less ethical as a content creator to make a hit piece on this guy and his mod than it is for this mod creator to put a piece of code that bans people who've made videos about how they don't like the mod. People might actually harass this guy because of this video, versus some guy denying a few people his art.

Doing something like this causes a massive erosion of trust between modders and players, regardless of who the players might be. I hope Valve takes action against them and sets the standard that doing something like this is NEVER okay in ANY mod, lest we have our modding privileges revoked because of bad apples like these losers. If the devs of this mod are reading this, heed my warning: *Minecraft modders have already tried something similar to this with some of their mods and were permanently vilified by the community at large (with the only exceptions being the developer behind Corail Tombstone) and being effectively banned from ever making mods again. As someone who found this video by accident through the power of the algorithm, I genuinely know nothing about the mod or development history of this project. However, the fact that the developers went out of their way to hard-code an error message specifically targeting a creator, whose only crime is critiquing their work, tells me all I need to know about this mod's development team. There's far too many games in the PC market, to say nothing of the many mods made for those games. Half-Life Overcharged is genuinely not worth the time to even get angry at, let alone to waste playing over others.
