I don't think college football is broken. My biggest complaint is scheduling, especially the first few weeks of the season. 98% of Div 1 vs Div 2/FCS matchups are rubbish. Alabama played The Citadel a few years ago. . . in my opinion, bad for football. Even most of the non conference Div 1 vs Div 1 are almost as bad, Alabama vs Louisiana-Monroe, etc. Also, why does the SEC only play 8 league games, while the Big Ten and others play 9? The SEC has gamed the system to some extent.

Offense moved the ball in the first half but bogged down in the red zone….that needs to get better. Barney is a weapon and he needs to have as many touches as possible. We ran for over 160 yards…not bad but most of that yardage was Barney. Also Emmit Johnson looks like the best RB. He made some good run in the second half. He makes good cuts and he is shifty and gets extra yards. The offensive line did ok considering all the injuries they are dealing with. It’s just on the run plays where it’s noticeable they don’t get a push consistently. Hopefully the young replacements on the line will continue to improve. It seems like every time we play Purdue…the game is gross. It’s always a weird sloppy game. Anyway just glad to get the win and move on. Lots to improve, but 4-1 doesn’t suck….better than looking pretty with a 1-4 or 2-3 record.

No these refs are bad it’s because they are getting pressure from non football people to “protect players” so they’re trying to find a penalty on every play literally I saw them reaching for their flags whenever the ball is handed off or thrown it’s ridiculous it’s slowing the game down I don’t even care if it helps or hurts us it’s hurting college football
