Jon, agree completely. The Portal, and NIL are going to really hurt CFB, at least in the short run. The thing that puts a burr under my saddle blanket, is that the Supreme Court ruled on it... so I don't see any changes coming soon, that can fix this. A Husker fan here in Deadwood, SD, I used to watch CFB, all Saturday long. Now I just tune in for my Huskers, then pretty much tune out. I can't even get into Pro Football, as I took an oath back in 1989 (my Junior year in H.S.) that I wouldn't watch Pro anymore because of the prima donna's invading the sport. I have been looking into World Rugby, of all things, lately. Still enjoy the Huskers Vball and Wrestling, but the Portal and NIL have really turned me off to CFB. It kind of hurts really. The world has been changing very fast over the last 15 years in a lot of ways that I'm just not happy with.

I absolutely hate all the hate Raiola gets for the Mahomes look. As if these people never pretended to be MJ or Kobe out in the driveway, Frazier or Montana or Brady out in the backyard. The hypocrisy is pathetic

@@RedEd1969watch his ufl season and what he can do when he finally had a good line. He looked like a man among boys with his passing. Sure he had some issues, every qb does, but he was a HUGE reason we were in so many close games to begin with. Absolutely nothing but respect for 2AM, especially playing half a season with a broken jaw

Did you see who NU was playing??? NU was playing Boston College, Boston College, Boston College. Boston College is not any high quality team. Yet NU only beat them by 5, yes 5 points. It was a win by the bad over the ugly.

I’m glad they won! The special teams was a special occasion of failure. Otherwise they rallied when the game was on the line instead of biting their nails and clutching their pearls like it looked like they did in the last 10 years. I am hopeful for the future. If they fire Foley now, people will be happy. They have to fix it! Long snapper is coming and that’s a step in the right direction.

I’ve only commented a couple times on your videos and those comments were somewhat negative at the Husker program. However this was a good win and I hope we are heading in the right direction. Thanks Jon for these videos, always appreciate your view. Happy New Year and we’ll see ya next year!

In my opinion, bowl games should not ever be held in baseball stadiums and in cold weather cities. I understand it’s New York City, but if they want a significant bowl game in their city then build a dome. But people are going to say that’s how football should be played, no it’s not. You play all year to get to a bowl game that is in a nice and decent atmosphere. I guess this can be a way for the team to get motivation to move forward and not have to play there ever again. But in general bowl games should be played in a domed stadium or in a warmer climate for both teams to be able to play at their best. Indianapolis, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and other places like that have domed stadiums not in use for bowl games, and plenty of stadiums in southern states. Stop having these bowl games in New York, Massachusetts, and other cold weather states. Even the CFP could be played in a domed stadium, it takes away from the home field advantage, but both teams should be able to be on a level playing field and playing surface.

Thank goodness for the D…a better team wouldn’t go 0-4 on fourth down & have so many trips to the red zone without a point. If we had a decent Offense, we wouldn’t have to worry about one score games. The 2025 optimism train begins early this year…. GBR!

I lived through the years where Frank Solich was “loyal” to Jamal Lord, when JL couldn’t carry out a play from scrimmage to save his life, without calling his number for a QB run. I am the worst critic of the Nebraska team. I remember the aftermath of the Frank Solich years. Call me a fair weather fan, but I watched Bo Pelini, get blown out by Ohio State, and WISCONSIN every year, listening to him how the players didn’t execute. Maybe, if Bo didn’t have his coke addicted brother as DC, or we hired someone other than a friend of his in the position, or a graduate assistant, maybe Bo would still be our coach. I agree, probably not. Yet, you cannot argue that Bo didn’t have his players back. Mike Riley was hired because he was the anti-Pelini. He left with a perfect 19 wins 19 losses. Exactly as he entered with. Frosty, is like the time of Bill Callahan, a tenure most Nebraska fans, have erased from their memories. I just wonder, since 2025 will be year 3, in Matt Rhule’s tenure, will he tank the team, to get the golden parachute, or actually produce a team, I can once again be proud to call the HUSKERS? I don’t know if I’ll be around. I can only hope.

I watched the 1962 Gotham Bowl in a small town in the Sandhills as a 10 year old. That game was very special for me as the Huskers were finally on TV for one thing but on a frigid, snow covered field in the old Yankee Stadium, Devaney showed his teams had talent and he could coach them up heading for eventually two Natty's. Today's game seemed very reminiscent of that game and its importance to a new coach for the Huskers. We're not there yet but like the 1962 team we're headed in the right direction with an excellent coach and when you consider Husker nation and its support in the formula we will be back. GBR

I think the officials should've penalized either Raoila for instigating or our offensive lineman who threw their player down. Regardless it didn't really matter as we just needed a first down and field position was irrelevant.
