Great season. Think they lost some of their focus after going up by two. At the incredible level both teams were playing at, even a small mental lapse was all it took. There was simply no room for anything short of the very best. Disappointed in the loss but happy for a wonderful season just a few plays short of a national championship.

Third set, up 22-16, Penn St. out of time outs, and the Huskers loose the set. Game over. They choked, plain and simple. Beason was a post tourney no show in her senior year, while Krause stood on the sidelines. This one is on Cook, he had no answer.

I have never seen such a bad and uncalled for double announcers jinx in my entire life. It’s almost like the football team was in attendance for this one.. also I’ve been watching Nebraska volleyball my entire life and never seen the ticky tack foot barely on the line call when zoomed in before on Harper, like come on. Big ten refs. You could see that rattled her too in her body language and we stopped going to Andi Jackson, who was automatic all night.. just like football, our opponent didn’t beat us, we just got the rifle out and blew off our foot. But in football we regrow it back every week like a sponge and do it over again.

It was a great season as far as the volleyball team goes, and the football team also they made it to a bowl game which was the goal ,hopefully the basketball team can make it back to the tournament this year and hopefully the baseball team does well this spring alot to look foward to and be excited about GBR

Both finals teams were underdogs. I think playing as the underdog is like playing with house money. Nebraska has done so much for women's college volleyball, literally going viral last year in Memorial stadium! No SEC or BIG12 teams made it to the Final Four. Job well done!

I feel like they thought they won the match during that 3 or 4th set, lost their focus. Cook and the girls were class acts. Represented the state so well

Agreed. You could see the steam come off once we hit set 3 and I think they probably thought "well there's no way we can lose 3 in a row, we just gotta win 1, so we can coast now". Or something like that. I just didn't see the fire and intensity in 3-5.

Nebraska volleyball is currently in the state that Ohio State football is facing- not Nebraska (as much as we wish it was). Our expectations of the team are "national championship or bust". They can get all the big stars, have a great coach, but if they manage to lose a single match the whole sky starts falling. I understand the frustration with not being able to cross the finish line as the "favored" team, but winning is hard. The fact that they've made 7 versions of the Final 4 in the past 10 years shows the level of achievement in the program.. (Nebraska football hadn't made a bowl game during almost that entire stretch...) It was a tough loss. It should've been closed out in the 4th set, but thats not how things played out. Devastated for the ladies & staff who worked their tails off for the past "x" amount of years being in the program.. BUT, there's brighter days to come... Andi Jackson, Harper Murray, and Bergen Riley have now been to F4s in their first or second seasons (or both).. Laney Choboy has another season to work on becoming the #1 DS/Libero.. REALLY need to reload on Outside hitters this class.. I'll never forget the National Championship that I was working in the Gateway Mall against Wisconsin in 2021.. But I cant cheer against a former Nebraska player turned assistant turned coach. LETS GO LOUISVILLE! GO DBK! Edit : maybe that's why OSU fans are so miserable

I'm saying that its okay to feel upset about the loss, but rather than acting like the world is falling after a semi-final loss (something that Ohio State football fans do)- we should be appreciative of what the team did & be thankful that the team is mostly still young. Not blaming the fans or saying that the other team doesn't want to win.

I don’t know what was going on with Beason, but she was terrible in this tournament. She hurt Nebraska in this match when she was at the net. I think she cost Nebraska more points when she went up to hit than she made. Not sure why cook didn’t sub her out. Krause standing on the sidelines seemed odd to me. I know she was sick but she should have recovered from that by now.

If you don't have the best hitter on the floor , you better have the best no3 4 attackers. Nebraska had to fight Penn states aura of playing for their coach, and Penn state played loose. The huskers lost big mo in set 4, gained it back on a run , but afterlosing it again, it was to some extent, inevitable...nebraska got a little predictable riding Murray, , n u wasn't playing super human d tonight. Juravicis > than beeson, landfair , , and #9 outplayed harper with her surgical hitting. Great year, really good class coming in,,, if juravicis didn't come in such a crowded class, she probably sees some court time as a fr, landfair isn't needed, and she would be in red this yr., who knows, dad was a Penn state alum. Will be a fun yr next season with a great chance to return to the final 4 again.

No disrespect. As a fan of a mid major team, I’m amazed when it comes to this kind of performance from Nebraska. I say this from this point of view when the ESPN money became a thing back in the 90s. There was a concentrated effort from the Big Ten, especially that wanted to gatekeep other conferences from cashing in. Thus was the birth of a thing called the power five conferences. once that became a reality, you could see the mid majors death slowly happening to the public. All the success went to the power of five conferences solely based on the resources that they obtain and exposure that they got from being on ESPN meanwhile, the mid majors kept chugging along, trying to become or be relevant despite the inequalities. This playing field will never be equal again. Because the power of five conferences chose to do it that way, and no matter how much resources or how many all Americans you have when you fail this bad it’s a head scratcher, considering all the accolades the entire country was giving Big Ten volleyball especially Nebraska, prior to the loss I didn’t hear any humility coming from anybody in Nebraska, the same goes for Pitt this year. It was more like these are the two teams destined to be in the final. I’m an old man. I’m 60 and I’ve seen the evolution of this sport. It was much more engaging when there was no such thing as the power five conferences. Back then it was just about team versus team resources versus no resources. I’m sad for your loss.
