I've shared the receipt already. And I can again without a problem, but carbon print process has so many steps so mixing gelatine, sugar, ink and sensitiser is not the easiest thing to do. I might even retouch the negative. We'll see. Thank you

Are we talking dry pigments mixed with the emulsion? That would be good news for me. Registration for multiple passes sounds almost impossible. Would love to see that discussed. And does anyone remember Kwik Print? I purchased a small bottle (black) back in the 1980s and made some contact prints that were very pleasing to me. I thought of it as gum prints in a bottle, but don't know what was in it. It was sold in black, magenta, cyan, and yellow, IIRC.

out of curiosity how does it hold up to heat once it is developed. could one in theory slump the glass in a kiln or heat it up enough to use for glassblowing?

What paper are you using actually?
@andyvan56922 ай бұрын
great video, no need to egg you on!! but in all seriousness what is the light box you used, is it a special UV exposing box?, as it looked like the print wasn't sensitised to normal light, as you had a yellow hue light on, and curtained it off before starting the exposure of the paper.

In my experience, it’s not the “room temperature”, but rather the temperature of the chemicals (especially the developer) which has an influence on veiling. Heat speeds up the chemical reaction of the developer, and even unexposed silver is developed. This can be prevented by either keeping your developer cool or cutting it down by 50% with water, making it weaker.

A girl I know in VIETNAM says Photographers cannot survive or make any money , there as too many Cell Phone shooting of portrait or events. I do not agree. Cell phone photo's are generally " shit " quality. We are discussing this right now. She states I will NOT make income as Photographer in Vietnam.
@BorutPeterlinPhotography2 ай бұрын
@@chrisloomis1489 use that as fuel to make it happen. Exactly because of incredible quality of phones, people appreciate the real photographer even more. It's not the question of technology, but aesthetics

@BorutPeterlinPhotography2 ай бұрын
@@inyomanpasma331 yes, I will be making a series of articles on my patreon page. I've made a step by step vlog about ten years ago on my KZbin channel. Check it out, although to properly learn you would need to come to my workshop or learning on your mistakes. It took me five years to connect the dots why my albumen prints were yellowing. Now I figured out everything. So, to repeat. It's fairly easy to make an albumen print and it's fairly difficult to make a good albumen print.

Josef was using film, with his 8x10 camera, with his 5x7 camera, with his panoramic brownie camera and with his medium format 6x6 and 6x9 cameras, as can clearly been seen through his contact prints with the weird edges, typical of sheets of large format film, he was not using dry plates at all, and he was born at the end of the 19th century, not at the end of the 20th.
