Edh goes like this for me goes to a table pulls out the test deck or weakest then gage from there, usually all games have me pulling out my 9-10 after, because one person could not help playing wheel of fortune, the one ring, plateau, mana valut, and jeska's will

You need enough draw power to be able to play control because you have to outdraw your 3 opponents together. Things like the magic mirror, the one ring, recurring insight.

Lots of draw power and ramp so you can cast a bunch of spells. Or obviously you just combo them out since that's clearly the best strategy and only not dominant because people will stop playing with you. Edh should probably be played with 15 life, not 40

Finally! This video is perfect for me. I was looking for a way to play these colors but every other video is just $10-$40 card combos to smite your friends from the earth. Thank you so much for making this!

best explanation on youtube...I was disappointed with Command Zone's attempt at this...they were way too wordy and after watching them for an hour I had no grasp at all...this cleared it up in a few minutes.

Hey man what precon do you recommend for a person that's a huge azorius fan ? I don't plan on upgrading it straight away, so it'll be fresh out of the box. I'm looking for great control elements in the deck and general good value, if possible.

I have a Vorel deck that has no ramp, no tutors, no combos, no I-win cards, no counterspells and no infect. And i run Storm Crow. Jank? Because it wins a fair amount of the time.

The first pack I ever opened had a Wrath of God in it & I've been a fan ever since. The first EDH deck I built was Brimaz, King of Oreskos. I am a proponent of White Power...ummm...wait...that might've come out wrong.

7-10 Power Level: - Mana Rocks (Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus,...) - Free Spells (Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Minbreak Trap, Force of Will,...) - Tutors (Vampiric Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Imperial Seal,...) - Top Tier Enchantments (Mystic Remora, Rhystic Study, Underworld Breach,...) - Easy Combos (Thassa,...)

3:14 my play group was what i call "hyper-casual", mostly people i had taught myself and who only played now and then over a year or two, so a precon was earth shaking for the group. Yes. You do have to actively try to make it weaker. Thinking about the time i got yelled at, fully yelled at, for having not one, but two 1/1 flyers.😂

My first commander deck was kumena, but i was too fresh to the format. I'm looking at rebulding it, I always struggled to make it get over the finish line. After watching this video I feel more confident in making a decent strength Kumena deck. Kinda want to throw statsis in it...

I have a ridiculous UBW singularity deck for Commander, like being the Joker amongst the group (funny haha sure but more like in a G-man way) and control is the only way to go. Steal everything and use it against them. Nothing is safe except for removed from game. And then with the rest of the deck just manipulate everyone else's cards and spells. Tapping, untapping, all kinds of crazy stuff. No game is the same twice at all. Only problem is, it's really hit or miss. Sometimes it dominates and others it falls flat on its face. The opponents' decks matter a lot. Pulling synergies out of other people's decks is always an interesting time. Makes for great stories. Think Braids Adept, Eye of Singularity, Time Spiral, Merieke Ri Berit (commander), every steal permanent spell ever made, Dakkon Blackblade of all guys because why not, Mirror Entity for the surge kill with everyone's creatures, many Dopplegangers, it's a hot mess of manipulation. It's slow as f but when it gets going people just start pulling their hair out trying to kill me from behind 3 Hondens and some other cute infinite life tactics. It's so silly but it's so fun completely without counter spells. There's one, it's bad and it's only for clutch moves, Cancel. That's it. I could use Grand Arbiter but I just feel like it's a dick move in a fun game. Reminding people that everything they cast is 1 more is annoying. If I want to be cruel with control, then I have a UB faerie deck made of only 40 - 45 cards. 7 - 8 turn kills with nothing on their board being able to do anything is prolly 60%. It won't beat a zerg zombies or gobs but it'll beat anything that can't get up to speed in that amount of turns.

So since ulamog the defiler says 'among cards in exile' and not 'among cards exiled this way' then that means if you have an emrakul in exile to your ugins labrynth then ulamog will likely be coming into play as a 20/20, annihilator 13?

Then I play a Cavern of Souls and a Chimil, the Inner Sun and watch you cry! Then when you try to use your almighty planeswalkers, I play a small little Spark Rupture to continuously kill off your little army! So much for your blue army! Oh, don't even try to mill me to death either, Gaea's Blessing kills that idea too!

Just because I play a deck that can kill you on turn 1 doesn't mean you have to generate petty skilless jealousy! Get better at the game and you might actually look like you know what you are doing!

When you have to team 3 against 1 to take someone out, that's just called petty skilless jealousy! Maybe if you gained some skills, you might actually win a game or two!

Leyline of Sanctity usually shuts down any mono red deck and the last person who played a Chaos Warp on my commander scooped when he warped in Ghalta which brought in Avacyn and Ulamog so you were saying how good red is again?
@MegaBekem
@MegaBekem Ай бұрын
Probably why I play W/B/G! White for removal, green for creature searching and graveyard retrieval and black for graveyard retrieval. It's really fun to skip your first turn to discard Avacyn or Ghalta, only to reanimate it on turn 2!

Annihilator is just mass land destruction by another name. I have no issues with mass land destruction, but eldrazi players have no legs to stand on when I start blowing up all of their lands and mana rocks and not let them play the game.

@@Azoreignthat's why I'm trying to put alternative win cons in the eldrazi deck I'm building, I'm using peregrine dynamo as commander and there's a bunch of legendary artifacts and planeswalkers that if left alone they'll turn into wincons so they can't target everything, either my ramp or my millenium calendar for example 😂. Also just to clarify my friends deserve to suffer a bit from the eldrazis, I'm fairly new to the game and I've only been playing upgraded precons or tribals like my monkeys or hobbits decks meanwhile in my pod there's the teregrid player, the one that has 20k cards but only one deck with all his cedh cards, an infect player and the dinos guy

Great points you mentioned there. Another thing I learnt from playing control for so long in EDH, is to include more stax pieces, this can help slow the game down closer to your pace, some pieces might end up answering more than 1 threat or even the whole board. I still play my esper control deck, it is an anti-creature deck, running stax pieces like humility, tainted aether, overburden, just to name a few. You can back this up with your removals and counters, take your time while the board is slowed down, by playing a lot of card advantage spells and eventually win. The deck wins thru several infinite turn combos, paired up with some PWs for inevitability.
