Thanks for comment, but I am myself really sorry for not being able to record an audio without wind noise. We were just passing through the area and it was all hectic. Ultimately, I’m very glad I produced the video from the Stelvio ascent. There’s an upcoming video of the partial descent from Stelvio going down to Bormio. One of the fast paced riders on BMW made me switch my camera on. 📸😁

Sports. 😄👍🏻

Great camera work and nice bike!! Just sold my VFR800 VTEC and looking for a 1200X DCT! What kind of tyres? And what kind of oil do you use in hot tempratures like in Croatia? Greetings from Holland! 😁
@CROtourer11 ай бұрын
4K 60 FPS is the standard and I don’t go below that. Thanks! 😊 The tyres in the video are Bridgestone Battlax Adventure Trail AT41. I’m really happy with that model. Great on the road, great on compact gravel, solid on loose gravel and good in wet conditions. Longevity is also very good. I do all of my services as per maintenance schedule in the approved Honda service center. They use Honda 4-stroke motor oil SA 10w-30. It performs excellent on 35 degrees just as good as it performs now when it’s 3-4 degrees in the morning. If you don’t mind some extra weight on the motorcycle, you will love this machine, especially with DCT. It’s probably one of the most underrated and overlooked motorcycles out there. I bought it while I was searching for the Africa Twin and now can’t imagine myself riding anything else in this class.

Hi, I’m I’m currently looking at the AT and CT. Why did you chose the CT? I don’t do offroad and like to push it on the road. Do you feel the weight of the CT in the curves? Best regards, Fabio
@CROtourer9 ай бұрын
@@FaaBskE21 Hi Fabio. I’m glad you have asked that question. Which motorcycle to choose? It only depends on you and your preferences. First I will tell you what I need motorcycle for. I need it for multiple purposes. 70-80% of my riding is on asphalt. The rest is gravel roads. Gravel and dirt roads are not off road. While on asphalt, for 30% of my riding I need motorcycle for suburban riding on 4 lane and dual lane roads with speeds up to 100 kmh. 30% of my riding goes to urban riding with a lot of traffic and traffic lights. 40% of my riding is long distance one day rides whenever I have time to do it, 20% of that are tolled highways with cruising speed of around 140kmh. Because of all of these factors about what I need motorcycle for, my conclusion was that CT will be a better choice for me. Year and a half and 26000 km later I know I was right about it. I love AT so much, especially 1100 model. Few years ago I started the whole purchase process and research. Rented the AT1100 couple of times, familiarized myself with it and really loved it. While researching and testing the AT I was always aware of the fact that CT has been on the market since 2012 and I was aware of its specifications, but have never ridden it. And then I rode it. Been thinking about it for 2 days and comparing it with the feeling on AT1100 and comparing the properties of AT1100 vs. CT. All of sudden I had an epiphany. 😁 In just one day, I started thinking about CT 3 times more than I was thinking about AT1100. That was it, I decided to go for CT. I still hope and wait Honda will significantly increase the power on AT. 100 hp is not enough for me. CT has 130hp and the legendary V4 powerhouse with diesel-like 126 Nm of torque. Yes, it consumes more fuel, but I’m happy with 6.2 liters of average consumption on the big adventure motorcycle if I ride reasonably. Last summer I did 1850 km ride and averaged 5.8/5.9 liters per 100 km consumption with luggage (topcase and seat bag, no side cases). Honda recently updated AT for 2024 and introduced 19 inch front wheel on ATAS. That model will be road oriented AT. CT has 19 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear wheel. That’s even better for road handling, but especially when you adjust the suspension to be hard. For my type of riding, I love how the CT handles in the corners. Yes, it is the heaviest adventure motorcycle out there. My model is the heaviest of them all, CT with DCT and additional equipment (crash bars, engine guard). I think my weighs around 290 kg. But for me, and for what I need it for, it makes no problem. I’m sizable guy myself, 191 cm tall, 108 kg weight. I wouldn’t mind if it weighed like ATAS DCT (255 kg), but for me, that’s not a deal breaker. In many cases I see its weight as an advantage. Side impacts of wind don’t affect CT at all. When passing next to huge trucks and buses on the highway at great speeds, CT handles it without any issue. When I ride in very windy conditions with a lot of turbulences, I feel confident and safe, it feels like I’m in the train on the tracks, not like I’m riding motorcycle. I notice the weight only if I park on sime kind of slope or I have to push it around with my legs while sitting on it. Because of my physical properties, it’s still not a big problem, but the weight is noticeable, nobody can argue that. And if you like to push it on the road, be sure that you will love that sound of Honda’s V4 coming from under the seat. The torque on this machine will put I smile on your face. And the smoothness of the V4 and no vibrations, amazing for riding. At 8500 rpm, you can see all objects in your mirrors, vibrations are almost nonexistent. I have the updated 2017 model, DCT is great, gear changes are lightning fast, most of the times I use manual mode. Very rarely I use automatic mode. I really also love the windscreen on the updated CT, it’s fully adjustable with only one hand, you can adjust in the matter of one second, just the way you like it at that moment, with your left hand only. AT is much more technically advanced, but there is no many electronic things that can go wrong on CT, making it a perfect adventure, long distance motorcycle for me. RELIABILITY on these motorcycles is of the essence. And the last thing, PRICE. Thanks to AT and the fact that everyone went crazy for it, the prices of secondhand CT’s are very reasonable. 2018 CT costs 2000 euros less than the comparable 2018 ATAS.
