Hi Suzzie! Yes, that dress IS gorgeous! I thought of a peacock right away when I saw the pattern. LOVE those colors together. Did you ever find out why you can eat zucchini but not yellow squash? Maybe too many carbs? I enjoy your videos. You are doing SO WELL on you new way of eating.

Did your dr tell you to only eat 30 carbs a day? I am diebetic. I went to diebetic education and was told for my weight i needed 45 per meal and 15 per snack. (3). Just wondering when i eat leaa than that my sugar is higher. You also have to include protein. Just curious

Your trip to the food bank wasn’t productive for you, but, for your neighbors, who may not be able to get to the Food Bank, the trip was a win. You did get some items that are on your diet plan, but, for the most part, this particular haul will better help your neighbors!

Did you make your egg bites? I have this little machine that I make them with and I can freeze them. Then take them out and microwave. It is a fast easy healthy breakfast when I work! We are now getting about 2 dozen eggs a week from the hens. And we only have for laying when the 5th one starts we will get up to 3 dozen eggs minus 1 lol so 35 a week! I will then sell the extras for $3 a dozen if they give me an egg carton and $4 without. This will pay for there food and supply us with enough eggs. In the spring we are planning on building a bigger coop and getting a incubator. One of the hens is a rooster! So we will be able to increase our flock! Having too many eggs is not a problem especially with the high cost of food. Eggs are a good source of perfect protein! Also we just bought a mixture of hens so some we weren't sure of the breed like the hen who is a rooster! But he is huge and beautiful! I believe he may be a black jersey giant rooster! He is about 2 to 3 times as big as the hens!

When my daughter was in high school she made me a bag to store my grocery bags in Home Ec. I still have it today! They are very useful. I am not sure about Texas but in Washington we used fabric bags for groceries etc. Because they charged for the bags at the store. At that time they were 8 cents each. When we moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan you could get paper or plastic for free. We mostly get paper and donate them to the local food bank and the senior center. And a couple plastic to use to clean dog waste up in the yard lol!

I reuse my ziplock bags by writing things like onions, carrots, cheese or whatever it is on the bag with a sharpie. It does not come off! So When I use all the onions I wash it then I dry and put it into a container to use again. When I have leftover onions I just look for the bag I labeled! I do not reuse the bags that I had meat in though. I just feel like I would never be able to get the bags cleaned enough I guess.

I love scissors for the kitchen. About 10 to 15 years ago I got coupons for Target I think and it allowed me to get scissors for free. I want to say I could use 5 coupons at one time so I would just go back and get more after putting my stuff in the car. They were printable coupons! I must have got around 25 to 30 pairs of scissors lol! I have them all over the house! In my stationary box, some in my kitchen drawer, bathroom, my garden buddy etc. They are always needed!

I got the shelf covers for my refrigerator shelves as well! It is sooo much easier to take those out and wash them instead of the entire glass shelf all the time! And yes.. you are absolutely correct, they do go on all of your shelves and in the drawers if you want to cut them to fit. So convenient 😊😊

How come you didn't check those old seeds to see if they would sprout before you went to work planting them?
@justcallmesuzzie2 күн бұрын
Because I wanted to direct plant this time to see how they do. Those seeds were very old and I have newer ones of the same seeds that I wanted to move on to use if those did not sprout.

@@justcallmesuzzie Gotcha. We all do things differently -- guess I'm a firm believer is least effort and I didn't understand why you would go to the trouble of a gardener planting seeds without knowing if the seeds were even viable. To each his own

Missed a couple of days without power and internet but nothing awful thankfully happened . I keep wondering about that Brie that you had some time back. Did you use it? And I see your plan calls for specific cheeses. I assume you can use cheddar instead of Havarti for example.
@justcallmesuzzie3 күн бұрын
I can mix and match the cheeses, yes. I have slowly been going through the cheeses in my salads and on my eggs. That includes the brie cheese as well.
