I was selling cars and leased a brand new ev. I rolled 10k of negative equity. I got wheel and tire package and pay $1004 a month. 10k a year lease right? Ok Well sales went to s*** and now I’m driving uber to survive. I’m less than year into lease. At this rate: at end of lease. I’ll have two options 1 buy out my car for $45 grand Which with low miles already Sells for 10-15k less than that Or walk away by paying off my mileage. Say it’s 20 cents a mile I got over 70k and have to pay $15k to walk away due to mileage fees Well . They won’t finance those fees and walk away And dealers don’t consider uber a real job So my only choice at that point would be to self repo My lease , with 10’s in of thousands of more miles on it That is going to financially ruin me for rest of my life But hey at least you can afford To eat today right ? Lol, my 2011 Accord in 13 years i bought new with 100k miles today, has had 2 batteries, 2 sets of tires, 2 sets of brakes, power steering o-rings, 1 tranny fluid change, 1 coolant change, new CV axels, 2 brake fluid/clutch fluid changes, and spark plugs changed. Obviously oil and air filter changes too. That is far far less than you $1k a month payment. Idiots
