I own 2 vehicles (outright) that are 2020 and 2021 respectively. Each of them has right at 45K miles on them. I keep them both regularly serviced and clean. I can’t imagine having a freaking car payment that’s higher than my mortgage. We live in a world of instant gratification and and seemingly an inability to do simple math. Unless you are a multimillionaire, you have no business paying 6 figures for a car - especially financing the thing. I could afford my payments but I started walking to work and then w/ payments+insurance I REALLY wanted to sell it to save that money each month, but it took me a few months of payments to not be underwater, I think when I sold it and I paid off the note I got like $1800. Thankfully I sold when I did because the car is now worth 1/2 what I sold it for 1.5 years later.

I'm over all these overpriced new cars. Went old school. 5 months ago I sold my 22 Challenger Hellcat wide body and bought a mint 16,000m 87 Buick Grand National. I spent 37 grand but it's only going to appreciate. I love it so I just sold my overpriced 23 Toyota RAV4 and bought a mint 26,000 mile 89 Lincoln Town Car Signature white burgundy leather burgundy carriage roof for 15 grand. It's amazing. I have a small personal loan for my GN that I'll pay off in 27 and dirt cheap insurance. If they break they're easy to fix. I just got tired of the new car bs. These took a while to find but well worth it I'm thinking. And I get more attention with these older cars. Best move I made. I figure if I want another new car I can always get one in the future. The two car payments and insurance were raising my blood pressure.

I went in to buy a Hellcat Challenger, but bought the Redeye Challenger, since they had 8k off from Power Dollars, then $5500 off from Dealer incentives as cars weren't selling well that year.. Paid $69,700 + tax, sold in the end of 2022 for $71,000.. The market was hot and I knew it was time to get out, Drove for 3 years & 20k miles.. The power was fun for the first few months, then it got normal, and just felt like a big comfy car that eats gas, tires, & brakes..

I believe that all men need to get back to being 100% about cars with the content. I think the reaction video and too much commentary beast needs to be put to rest. I'm one of those guys who posts all my projects on my channel and you're right, people rarely watch true car content but I refuse to just sit there and talk to everyone watching my channel for the entire video. I'm gonna continue to push real hands on car content because that's the era I'm from. Now from a business standpoint, talk and react to videos until your jaw hurts. But I just can't get with it because some of the youtubers have the best cars to own and you'll never see them do more than drive around with the camera pointed on them talking the whole video. I think balance is needed. Talk about what's going on in the car world some, then do something with the car. I'm not switching my content to cater to everyone else. I hear you, but if your channel is not getting views, you must adapt. There is no point in having a monetized channel and getting no views. I feel the same way most of the youtubers I watch do not make content about their cars anymore because people just don't care. Unless you're doing something extremely dangerous, illegal, or very expensive, like jumping over lambo or rebuilding a wrecked hellcat or switching cars every month, people will lose interest. This is a hobby for me, and I don't have the budget or the time to do any of the things I spoke of. I was told by the gurus of youtube that you have to make videos for your audience it's not about you completely. That's the difference in getting 1k views and 100k views. I just bought a 2019 C300 AMG with 40k miles for $22.5k OTD. I traded in a 2017 Corolla with 130k miles I had paid off and used for 5 years for $12k. Majority of EVs are charged at home. And the majority of those are not charging up from zero. Mostly toping off sense most Americans commute on avarage is 42 miles a day. And with the average EV having 300 plus miles of range. No one is running down thier batteries every day. Like saying a gas car needs to fill up everyday. And new battery design allows for faster tops offs at charging stations (Tesla Super Chargers are designed to discourage charging to full) upto 80% =10 to 15 minutes.

The false value of those cars is why people are in the position they are in...If people would just stop and look around for a second and notice there's a damn Dodge Charger and Challenger that drive by you every 15 seconds on any given road at any time of the day, that alone should tell you NOT to buy that car because half the population of America are driving those POS cars...The other thing that should kick in is its a DODGE!! That's never been or never will be a brand that will hold any value. Most cars lose 20% value as soon as they drive it off the lot new....a Dodge will lose 30% - 35% value as soon as it leave the lot. It's crazy an very unfortunate for nearly every Dodge Charger or Challenger owner out there, but at the end of the day, you are the one that paid $70k+++ for a damn Dodge Charger. Hope you bought GAP insurance because you are never trading that in....What on God's green earth would possess you to sign a loan document that said $1,240 a month for a damn DODGE??????
