Can I do one row as single crochet and one row as half double crochet?

Hi. You can do whatever stitches you want as long as you keep each section squared up if that makes sense. For example, if you had 9 rows of sc and then turned to work the side it would get 9 stitches, but working in hdc you might need to add a stitch or two to keep your section square.

How many rows are needed for an adult size? I just received one of these sentro 48s for Christmas and I'm loving it.
@theburgundybasketkristiber1494
@theburgundybasketkristiber1494 Жыл бұрын
It really depends on your yarn. Typically I do 85-95. I’ve done some at 85 that were too small with the yarn so start with 85 and then you’ll know for that yarn brand. I like to start with a neutral color for a yarn I haven’t tried before and then if 85 is too small I make an infant/toddler hat from it.

@The Burgundy Basket Kristi Bergin-Smith thank you. I'm frustrated with this machine as the counter just quit last night on my 5th project! Bummer. I guess I'm to visually count now if I want to make that head band to match the hubby's new hat.

@@deanna.s.3884 oh no!! I hear a lot of people have that problem. You can order a new magnetic counter to install on your machine. I hear the “purple magnetic counter” is the best. I actually ordered it to go on my new Sentro 40 since that size has no counter.

If you are trying to 'square' up an uneven line, you could single stitch to the part where it indents a little, then double stitch to the end to even out the row.

How can you make sure the blanket becomes a rectangle or square? ⬜
@theburgundybasketkristiber1494
@theburgundybasketkristiber1494 2 жыл бұрын
You have to make sure you are working even on each side. What I do instead of making sure I have a perfect count is keep working and lay it down flat to make sure it’s flat and not going off on any angles. If for example you have 10 rows and want to work down the side of those you should have about 10 stitches.
