Ooh, great idea to chain between the slip stitches! I'm working a few samples for a stuffed animal for my niece and trying different ways to get the fluff on there - I realised very quickly that I would not be crocheting the whole thing with the fluffy yarn 😅 first sample I just kind of winged it & ended up singel crocheting in every stitch. Worked fine with one yarn, but is incredibly frustrating with the other fuzzy yarn I was considering... But that yarn might just be cursed - I couldn't slip stitch all around with it either! I'll try it with chains between, and if that doesn't work I'll just leave that yarn for "another project" 😅
