Amen to Rory! The housing game in UK is totally rigged and mid class has alms no chance to own their own home, unless they cheat or inherit fortune in order to be able to acquire their own home. By waiting in rented property where the landlords only pass on their own mortgages along with extra profit, making the people even more poorer, because if they were able to afford to pay the mortgage in the first place, they would do it, but no one gives them the chance to do so, wheee in the same time they welcome to pay the actual mortgage plus profit to someone who otherwise would not be able to owns more properties but just because he already got one or someone helped them, got the opportunity to own more properties, therefore we the ordinary people end up paying their mortgages instead of our own along with the ridiculous and unjustifiable increases every year for the house, we couldn’t officially effort however we are welcome to pay more for others who by the standard bank measures could . It is absolutely outrageous.

The goods were getting cheaper due to a combination of outsourcing the labour to the 3rd world countries fuelled by debt. Both of those things have been exhausted - labour in 3rd world countries is no longer cheap enough and the debt levels are now unsustainable.

I have been saying real estate was the problem for 4 years now.

Trailer parks are being bought up by venture capitalists as they know these places will be the only places people can afford. Sounds great Rory, but we will be prices out of these as well.

There is absolutely zero logical argument (from the consumers perspective) against every single life essential/utility being owned by the state. Anything i need to survive in 2024, the state should have the monopoly of and be legally obliged to provide it.
