After more than a year and 500 double shots of espresso done Annalissa's way in a Bialetti 3 Cup Moka Pot............. I have settled into her recommendation of 1/2 Lavazza Qualitá Rossa and 1/2 Lavazza Crema e Gusto. And, I mix about 1/3 heavy cream with 2/3 espresso. It is one of my day's highlights. A huge thank you for the instructions.

Try marinating a great steak with your leftover morning's espresso. Add a pinch of sea salt to 3-4 tablespoons of espresso and allow your steak to marinate about 10 minutes before grilling or pan frying.

Thank you for this lovely video. When I first started using the moka pot I did it in the way you show it - using illy coffee, same method, but it tasted bitter. I started looking it up as I wanted it to taste nice, and tried all the tricks that "coffee experts" recommend - using hot water from the start, putting a spoonful of water in the upper chamber, using freshly roasted coffee from a specialty shop, and switching off the heat as soons as the coffee started to pour (always keeping the lid open). It got too complicated and didn't really improve my coffee. I decided to go back to basics and was happy to see that is how italians make it :-) I'm now using filtered water (that made a difference) and ground coffee from the supermarket (against all "experts" advice), and I take it off the heat and pour it as soon as it starts sputtering, and that's it, I can enjoy my home espresso. Just haven't figured out how to keep the coffee hot for more than a brief minute... Any advice you can give?
@joechesshyre8 күн бұрын
Make sure you've preheated the cup with boiling water if you want the coffee to stay hotter for longer.

What a wonderful and such a relatable refreshing post ! Right at the beginning of your video, it brought back this memory, when was I was at the hospital and because I was not completely disheveled, wearing lipstick. -(being a person that cannot get out of bed, in any state not wearing at least that-) The nurse remarked upon it & there said that I didn't seem to be in enough pain to warrant to have some Tylenol I requested "😨 You have made me feel so much less guilty about my what I had not understood familial even therapeutic 🇮🇹Bella Figura 🙏🏼

We all love James Hoffmann and we trust him about coffee BUT after trying the lovely Annalisa's method, I've decided that moka pot is really something that Italians have mastered. If you've ended up here, that mean's your moka pot coffee is lacking something. I've tried both of the methods. The only difference was; I've used Colombia Supremo Excelso beans and freshly grind them just before use on my DF64 Gen 2 grinder. You wouldn't believe the flavor improvement of Annalisa J.'s recipe. I strongly recommend you try this one. You will not use another method for the rest of your life for moka pot... Grazie mille Annalisa :)

I just watched a Hoffman mocha pot video, the this one by Annalisa, and I cannot discern any real difference between the two methods. Hoffman suggests preheating the water (so the time to brew is reduced a bit) and points out the optional paper filter. Other than that - no differences between the two instructors. What am I missing?

Hello. What is better Bialetti aluminum or stainless steel? Does the material affect the flavor? for 2 people what coffee capacity
@AnnalisaJ5 ай бұрын
@@Franshaves I prefer the stainless steel, but I don’t believe it affects the flavor ☕️ also for two people we use the 6cups (remember when referring to cups here is “espresso cups”. But we share it 1/2 each in a regular cup and add creamer. (My husband also adds a bit of water 😝, but he was used to the traditional American coffee maker), I like it as is with a bit of cream.

Hi.. Thanks for sharing your tips on Moka pot brewing. Wondering what do you think of the Brikka? I've read online that Brikka brewing method isn't quite the same as Moka. Also i saw you stir the coffee in the Moka pot, and my first instinct tells me not to stir the coffee in the Brikka as it will ruin the crema

Anna, When i became grey i got criticised from italian women when i became black i got criticised again. Now I have my black hair with white roots and because I tie it in a bun or pony tale without a fringe bangs i don't really care. People are jealous no matter what you do. I think if is long enough for ponny tale without bangs it doesn't really matter
