Hi, I'm getting 46.5mm on the Explorer but not sure on OP41 currently. Explorer is 51mm with the male end links, but personally I do not find that measurement ever relevant as the bracelet should curve away from case even if female IMO.

I’ve found that putting a half decent leather strap on even an Ali express special elevates the feeling of quality. I have a fitted to case leather strap (£35 Dunhill branded I think) that fitted a Pagani OP Clone perfectly, I had a spare Tudor deployant clasp so put that on it too. Certainly elevated it but straps are hard work unless you are happy with sometimes big gaps and pin buckles.

I guess I was looking at phone screen which made it awkward. You also have to do it in under 60 seconds for it to be a short I think, so a bit rushed. It makes me cry too though if that makes you feel any better, they are my watches I am attacking! Measurements are what they are though, so nothing ridiculous. Many KZbinrs have confirmed the EX40 isn't 40mm, but it is equally something a lot of people are in denial of. A Tissot Gentleman on the other hand is exactly 40mm

I wouldn't dare change anything about any watch (especially Rolex!)! Manufacturer needs to be the one to do that IMO. The Explorer dial is the subject of discussion about the positioning of the text. I think they are both less than perfect so was just giving my feelings on what would work better. I think the SMP300 is a mess of a design, but that's Omegas problem. The SMP600 and 6000 are stunning though IMO. I would of course love it if anything is changed to my liking on any watch, and have just ordered a San Martin because I think it has something I like and have been saying needs to happen 🤞

Thanks for this video. I went ahead and got the oyster-style rather than the proprietary one. I think you're right it looks great (and I was able to get it slightly cheaper than the proprietary one as well). The fit is great, but I do think there's an ever so slight difference in case and end link design that makes it link up differently from the proprietary, going on pictures. There's no way you could tell from a glance, it's not bothersome at all, and it fits in all the important places (like the curve of the case etc.). But you can tell it was meant to go in slightly shallower lugs on slightly thinner bezel/case, by fractions of a mm. I would sill stick with this one though, it looks and feels great.
@wristopia4101Ай бұрын
Hi, So glad the video was helpful and you are generally pleased with the Oyster. I really felt it was a legitimate fit, but I never really did a direct end link comparison as it seemed to fit so well. Did you have to buy the watch on jubilee and then buy the Oyster like I did? Sounds as if you bought it straight on the Oyster? If so, new from Mondaine stockist?

Hello mate, can you do me a favour and explain why being high horology means you cannot set the watch correctly? This not hacking thing makes no sense to me. Surely any high horological watch should be able to keep extremely accurate time and be actually on time? Sounds like posh BS to me to say you cannot have an accurate watch while paying thousands upon thousands of dollars for a watch
@wristopia41012 ай бұрын
I do not actually know the fine details, but the gist of it is that hacking is a severe shock to the mechanics that is best avoided. I kind of appreciate that this may be correct ('hacking' is quite a rough term when you think about it!) and high horology is a world away from a bullet proof Rolex. I like to set a watch Bob On, but maybe this is just a hang over from the speaking clock (123) and my Casios?
