My heating element did not beep at all (the one you said was 10Ω) what do I do then? I seen the back side of it and it was corroded really bad. Everything else worked fine. What do I look up when replacing this?

You shouldn't use both hands when sticking somthing into a receptacle. The voltage will go through one arm, then shock your heart on the way to the other arm.

After checking everything here I think my dryer motor is just burned out. When I press the power button, I can hear the buzzing of the current trying to turn the motor, but it just won't. I can also smell something burning too. The belt the turns the barrel seems to be fine too.

Thanks for the Video. This did not fix my issue the board looked great but it led me down the right path of the interlock being the issue. In my case I got the EBE / E6E cede and replacing the 131763202 Washer Door Lock Switch fixed the issue.

OCT 2024. My Whirlpool Dryer Model # WED4850HW0 stopped heating. After successfully repairing a Washing Machine and a Dishwasher using KZbin I decided to try my luck. This video was exactly what was needed to identify and fix the dryer. I had to buy a Multimeter tester at HD ($18) and I then followed the steps exactly as done in the video. There was no issue with my vent or any of the circuits I tested. So it was most likely the timer. I ordered a new timer assembly from Appliance Parts Pros ($115) and it arrived two days later. It was an easy to swap out the old failed timer assembly with the new one. Before putting the machine back together I tested it and it operated just like it should. This video is the prefect example of how to help DIY / homeowners troubleshoot and repair a dryer. Thanks!

Pretty good video. Thank you. It would have been nice if you didn't cover up the plug and hide it with your hand when doing the tests. Also you should have discussed that white 2" long fuse. You didn't mention that at all. Is there a way to test or check if that fuse is blown?? Then please show us. Thanks very much. 👍

Good afternoon. I have a Question, my washer agitator came out while washing. Agitator had something loose inside. We took it apart and find HALF the screw that’s hold the disc shape bottom part of the agitator. The “shack” black part that has teeth on the motor. That’s screws on the agitator has stock the other half of the screw. I was told that I need to replace the whole motor in order to sit the agitator back in place. Or but a new washer. My washer is not even two yrs old. I purchased it at Home Depot cash on clearance and does not have warranty anymore. Since it’s only for one yr.

compressor was heating up. didnt know why. wouldn't think it was a relay, assumed because it heats up, probably is getting power. long story short decided to check the relay, its absolutely melted and burned. replacing it now, thanks

Thanks, straight to the point, with no BS like removing scews. Tuns out I evidently had a trifecta, with one leg of the breaker not having power, the upper limit thermostat out, and the lower thermostat fried to the point the terminal broke off. Reset the breaker, replaced the parts, cleaned of some dust, and the now working fine.

Great video. We were overseas and our dryer went out on our daughter. We were gone for 1 week out of a 6 month trip when it happened. I ended up buying a new Amana from Lowes to get a working dryer again. We just returned and the new Amana just started not drying. It worked for less than 4 months, Amana is sending out a repairman. The old Roper is in my basement. They kept for me to look at when I returned. With the new dryer acting up, I decided to see what was wrong with the old Roper. I have checked everything you mentioned except for the voltage at the wall. It all checks out fine. The issue is it will stop drying after 5 minutes or so. I am leaning towards the timer being the issue and possibly corrosion in the contacts. There was a decent amount of lint in the upper area near the timer. If the contacts are dirty this might be the issue.. Any thoughts?
