My oc is a literal god so when making their ponysona i made not just an alicorn version but also a pony, Pegasus and unicorn. Why? Because that’s how they act in every universe. I typically like using them to practice making character designs. So having them be a god helps give me a challenge to work with that power and their personality. It’s very interesting and fun. I recommend it to anyone wanting to have little limitations

I have a tip! I know that many people have different mindsets and always have different opinions and beliefs that change over time. What I mean by this, my tip is; Deep/spiritual meanings. Examples: following nature, think of a rose, it can remind you of love and dating. A tree? Obviously, growth. I have always believed in dreams and their deep meanings, nature, even items made by us. Like a key, can mean freedom and new paths. I don't know, but it's probably not such a good idea as it could cause confusion and misinterpretation. But still, I think it's a good idea. You just have to try to fit it with the character's skills/hobbies and personality.

I dug the three-dimensional, eye candy animation of My Little Pony: A New Generation. Unfortunately, the follow-up TV series, My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, has downgraded CG animation which is both a detriment and a disservice to the setting and characters. I didn't mind the aesthetics of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale either; unlike A New Generation and Make Your Mark, Tell Your Tale is 2D and while two-dimensional G5 has its own charm, it's a sharp contrast to 3D G5 My Little Pony.

My oc is a Pegasus named Rainy Canvas. My oc's cutiemark is a dark grey cloud raining, it represents how she is a weather pony, her love for the rain, and art because My favorite thing is art especially Watercoloring, so its sort of her talent but definitely her Passion.

I have a villain oc named blossom key who was good friends with twilight but she moved without telling her and twilight never talked to her.blossom key never felt so betray and mad in her life so she made a plan to make sure twilight regrets for leaving her all alone so she got some books and started her revenge. Here's a 2nd villain oc There name is nightshade and was made out of the magic of blossom key they were made to hunt down twilight but when she found out twilight had new friends she made sure that that all got capture now nightshade is loyal to her and will do anything to help her with her plan.

omg i know this vid is old, but i'm a newer mlp fan so here i am 7 years later lmao. tangent/essay incoming: it's funny, even though i binged mlp:fim like a year or two ago, i was never really interested in engaging in the fandom or committing to making an actual oc until i rediscovered it recently via someone's reactions to the show here on yt. but i do remember back then i tried to think of what my ponysona/oc's cutie mark would be, and totally failing to come up with anything. but i took a few little fun quizzes on what type of pony i would be, and i got alicorn every. single. time). when i actually decided that i wanted to make an oc recently, even without knowing anything about the fandom i could guess that alicorn oc's were probably kinda disliked/frowned upon. i figured it probably came across as thinking you were better than others or making a mary sue, considering alicorns in the show are rare and royalty. but that was fine, i wasn't interested in making mine one. i wanted mine to be a pegasus! so i got to work on creating mine, but something just felt wrong. i took away the wings and he just looked kinda sad and blank. so i gave him a horn instead, but it still wasn't quite right. so i gave him both the wings and horn, and that's when he felt right. he just looked so strange without both. but i hadn't really planned to make him an alicorn, i had just wanted a cute lil pegasus who liked to do loop-dee-loops in the sky 🥲 so i had to reassess his backstory and make some adjustments. now i have Aerowyn, and i just love him. he's white, with a black & white mane and tail, gradient wings that go from pastel pink to pastel blue, a matching pastel pink horn with a pearl white spiral, and medium brown/hazel-ish eyes. one of his abilities is Concealment (aka invisibility). it has pretty hard limitations (he can't just make himself invisible for days at a time), and more of them the longer and the larger the object/body he's concealing, but if it's a single small thing, he can kinda conceal it virtually indefinitely. so he keeps his horn concealed and masquerades as a pegasus only, because he doesn't want special treatment or questions about his origins... which he doesn't even know and can't answer anyway. (but i do and i'll have him discover them in the fic i'm writing for him lol). he also has some minimal Light Weaving abilities (can create small simple illusions like glowing images or decoys, make instant flashes of light/shimmering patterns that can distract/confuse attackers, and also make a little ball of hovering light in the dark for illumination). he's not especially gifted in magic despite being an alicorn, and he's not exactly a prince, though he's also not _not_ a prince. (it's got to do with those origins he hasn't figured out yet, but it's sad and complicated and really not a positive thing at all in the end). he struggles with trust, and therefore friendships, and reveals himself as very awkward the moment he opens his mouth in social situations (very relatable for me as an autistic whoo boy). though he's generally fairly kind, he doesn't like to get too attached and is a bit of an every-pony-for-themself kind of guy. his cutie mark is an open book (in black), with birds in every color of the rainbow flying off the pages. it symbolizes knowledge and freedom, which are Aerowyn's strongest values (which are some of my irl most cherished values too). his name itself means "the joy of freedom" (wyn=joy/delight, aero=flight/sky aka freedom) he just wants to live his life free of restrictions and expectations, free to travel where he wants, free to read and learn whatever he wants, free to love whoever he wants, free to be himself. and fun fact his future best friend (...boyfriend? maybe 😳) is a black and gray deer oc i made for him 😏 long story short, i didn't choose alicorn, alicorn chose me 😭 but he's certainly no all-powerful gary stu, and he's not _really_ royalty either, and wouldn't tolerate being treated as such, literally makes great effort to fly under everyone's radar. if i ever finish his fic, i might come back here and leave a link for it in case anyone is interested 😳 it's gonna be a bit of a prequel to the Equestria of gen 4, or potentially just an alternate universe of it. haven't totally decided yet, it'll unfold how it unfolds, i guess. but i just really felt like i had to write his story after creating him

I need to know if I need to put any improvement in my oc: she’s basically a nature goddess who defends animals and nature,If a piece of nature is hurt she is hurt. The name of my pony character is Sunset Wish ; Sunset because of her color palette and also because it refers to the sky, my pony being a pegasus. Wish is a bit trickier: it refers both to her endearing personality which pushes the other ponies to confide their wishes to her, and to her will to always want to improve herself to be the best possible. The name itself has a sweet sound, reminiscent of her kind and calm personality My kirin's name is a bit simpler : Summer Leaf, for her link with nature, and also because of the color of her mane being dark green like leaves in summer. Oh and also it refers to her shiny personality 😆

My OC's name is Moon Cloud because her coat is grey and she has off-white in her mane and on parts of her coat. I then decided her parents named her that because they saw a moon shaped cloud on the night she was born. It works because her cutie mark represents her talent and love for making shapes out of clouds ^^ Surprised I chose a decent name since I named her at like 11pm on a random Thursday

Alicorns are amazing. I recently (also thanks to your videos) made my own alicorn OC which is also the first OC I made. I am completely not sure about how good/bad is it, but I very like the result. But regarding being overpowered. Is it ok if their ability is overall strong, but also goes in strong contradiction with their character traits and that is why it makes not really easy to use it?

I created an Umbrum OC several years back who was mistreated and unfairly judged by ponies due to being, well, an Umbrum. Where he was originally peaceful and generally benevolent, the way he was treated over a prolonged period of time caused him to completely snap, and adopt the viewpoint that there was no reason to try being anything better than the monster everyone saw him as. He doesn't necessarily want to be evil and sadistic, but he feels as if that's not his choice to make, so he might as well embrace the cruelty and be the worst possible person he can be.
