is there any software specific to my 2004 4runner that I can load onto my 5610?

There is no software for the 5610 on PC or Mac. The 5610 uses a free, optional app called Repairsolutions2 (RS2) on a smart phone or tablet. You can run unlimited and free diagnostic reports on as many vehicles as you wish with the RS2 app. You can download from the Play or Apple store. The OBD Tool updaters is just for updates. There will be a free update in the next few months to bring the 5610 up to 2023. Our newer tools are 1-2 years behind the current year due to newer vehicles being covered under factory warranty, but updates are always free.

I was told my granddaughters boyfriend and his dad could not communicate with her 2008 Subaru legacy as i was reading the codes and live data on my Innova 5610, with no issues in communication. I dont know what they have for scan tools but i will suggest the Innova lineup should be added to their collection, FYI i have never been told by a vehicle that there was a communication issue 2020 Honda, 2013 Vw, 2010 Toyota , her 2008 Subaru, just for a short list!

You can also buy used with a warranty from our website: www.innova.com/pages/innova-used If the vehicle doesn't start, but cranks, our tools should establish communication with the vehicle. If a vehicle will not crank, our scanners will not establish communication with vehicle. Some vehicles you may need to get the engine running to better establish communication. Get the engine running 1st, then connect tool 2nd. With Live Data, you need to have the engine running to get the real-time parameter identification values.

With the OBD1 cable and OBD1 GM adapter, the 5610 will only support 1995 GM trucks and vans that are all one ton capacity or less with gas engines (EXCEPT S/T Series vehicles). For the 5610 to work with OBD1, you'll need the OBD1 cable that attaches to the GM OBD1 adapter. That will convert the 5610 from OBD2 to OBD1 to read your GM OBD1 vehicle. The coverage is very limited for the 95 year since it was a transition from OBD1 to OBD2. This is because OBD2 was implemented in 1996.

No, the 5310 cannot clear hard codes that are stored after a vehicle accident. Also, known as crash data. These codes are with the SRS module and other hardware issues. Yes, the 5310 can clear soft codes. These are codes that indicate a fault with an SRS system part/component such as - driver airbag codes - seat belt codes - impact sensor codes

What you want though is a scanner that can clear permanent tcm codes like the p1745 to get your vehicle out of limp mode to see if it trips again or was just a glitch before a transmission shop tries to sell you a 4 or 5 thousand dollar transmission job you might not need!

Permanent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (PDTCs) are very similar to regular Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). However, unlike regular DTCs, they cannot be reset by disconnecting the vehicle’s battery or cleared using an On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) scan tool. The only way to clear a PDTC is to fix the underlying problem with the vehicle that originally caused the PDTC and its corresponding DTC to set, and then allow the vehicle sufficient drive time to re-run the monitor that identified the problem in the first place. When the monitor runs without identifying a problem, the PDTC will clear itself.

You need to keep the 5610 plugged in while you perform EPB reset. The 5610 will provide the instructions when to exit and disconnect the 5610 from the OBD2 port. No, you don't need to disconnect the ebrake connector when performing EPB Reset

I used to work for Schlumberger. If you don't know who they are, you should look them up. Our 2006 estimate was 2000 years at 10 times 2006 consumption rates. The question is at what price per barrel. Understand that in the Hibernia region alone, there is more oil than mankind has consumed to date. And only one rig. In the arctic there are hundreds of times more. It is merely a question of expense. Personally I want us to start building LFTRs, liquid fluoride thorium reactors, as soon as possible and keep petroleum in the ground against future needs, even start capturing carbon as hydrocarbons using waste heat and pumping them underground. But the estimates you mention are ridiculous.

P2857 is caused by internal transmission failure usually. Another possibility is if the transmission fluid is low
