Do your regular hook knot and make your leader twice as long. Put a bead on the leader first, then 3 bobber stops, then another bead, then an egg sinker, then another bead,. Put the tag end back through the bottom of the egg sinker the way it came out, back through the bead on the other side of the sinker, then tie the tag end to the top bead. It makes a pulley so you can tighten or loosen the sinker with the bobber stops and the bead the tag end is tied to will rest on top of the stops as it's pulled down by the sinker. Problem here is if you throw hard or use a heavy sinker it will loosen every time. Need more stops if this happens.

It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

brother i thought about doing the exact same thing but the problem is your hook should not be sliding out of position, once the fish garbs the bait and you feel it then you go to set it the hook slides down giving the fish enough time to feel something is wrong and spit it out, what you need is a solution that prevents the hook from sliding but still be depth adjustable and i figured out how to do it with one plastic bobber stopper bead, I may do a video to demonstrate how it works properly and how to set it up

After thinking about this, I think you could modify this as a double drop shot rig so that the top hook is adjustable as described in the video but the bottom hook is fixed as in a normal drop shot. Finally you put the weight on the bottom with either a drop shot weight (clip style) or single overhand knot. This way, the weight can still break free yet the bottom hook will secure any fish caught on the top hook when it slides.

Buenas ideas y aportaciones. Tus ideas siguen vigentes aunque el video tenga varios años y ahora existan mas opciones en tecnología disponible con la Hero 10 y 11. Quienes pescamos en kayak (agua salada) seguimos sufriendo por la duración de las baterías y lo que muestras se acerca muy bien a lo que necesito. Lo único que me falta solucionar es como conectar la cámara con el cable sin que pierda su protección contra el agua.
