He wasn't nicknamed "Safe Hands" for nothing. I'm a Man United fan by the way, so I have zero allegiance to either team, especially Liverpool FC! That's a funny thing with England back then, we had mediocre players like Darren Anderton and whoever else, but we did have a few of the best goalkeepers of all time over the years, including Peter Shilton and of course Gordon Banks - arguably the best goalkeeper to have played the game.
