I've literally just been looking at the new android screens last week so this video is great timing! There's debate on the Z4 forum about whether the 12.3" screen is too big and obstructs the view of the front of the car but this doesn't look too bad.

I think it really depends on how you sit in the car and how tall you are. At 5'10" and not sitting too low, it's fine and I don't find it distracting at all. Thanks for watching!

Great video! I have a question about the being able to see the vehicle information. Can you still check oil level and other vehicles information on the screen?

Great unit but I can't get the audio to work. I have taken it off and plugged back into radio and have sound. Plug back in the unit no sound. Put the radio on Aux and used the port but still no sound. Went through the set up way to many times and still no sound. I have a 2013 Z4 BMW. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks nice but too big. I have no screen in mine and i'm looking for a good (not to expensive) option for android auto with good sound. But no more than 10".

I'm curious how long the installation took you. I realize you've done this a few times with other units, so it will likely take me a bit longer.

If I wasn't filming and taking my time, I'd say under an hour. If it's your first time, probably 2 hours to go find the right bit and going slow as to not rip the clips in the dash etc. Thanks for watching!

Hello, thank you for this video! You mentioned it comes with an iDrive control, but in your link, the website said it doesn't? Do we need to buy the iDrive controller (iDrive Controller For BMW x1 E89; on their website when you go to accessories) or was it a mistake on their end?

Hi, I believe if you select CIC, then it assumes you are replacing an existing screen and will already have the controller. If you select Without OEM Screen, then it is added. Let me confirm with them and get back to you.

@@SimpleCarGuy Thank you! I actually confirmed with them too, and you are right! Without the OEM screen, they will give the iDrive Controller. I am going to hope they will send out the correct set.
