great video.. I used fuelmoto for the tuner and the initial tune to get me to the dyno tuner... fuelmoto canned tunes are not that good imo..when compared to a dyno tune on a stage 2.

My FXLRS had 1,200 miles when I swapped my cam. Tried saving some dough, so I installed the S&S camchest kit myself. At the time, no one was talking about the crank runout, so it didn't check mine. I really hope mine wasn't bad. Now my bike has over 7,600 miles.

It's all suck squeeze bang and blow. Modify to change the suck and squeeze and the blow, the bang will change a bunch but every time you change those 1st 3, you gotta tune. That is an expensive thing and no, your last tune will NOT do for your new configuration. That's what I think is misleading about 'stages'. It is sorta crap cuz there are no 'real 'stages...it's just that state of the machine after you did what you did.

I'm not really into the stage nomenclature thing I think it is a very misleading thing to follow. I did the S&S 475 cam kit with the pump and plate and all that for my '23 117 FXLRS. I think that was about $1500. The Power vision 3 tuner was about another $600. The SP Concepts 2->1 was another $800. A few tools and chemicals...another $200. So, I think that added up to about $3100 just for the hardware goodies to have a decent sounding and running 117 FXLRS. I did the work myself. I think you could add another $1200 or so to have a shop do it. That's quite a bit of $$$. Don't even think about preserving warranty. It is not worth worrying about.

Been there done that. Dealerships thrive on us "nice" guys. Hope the bike made up for it. I did a handshake deal and then saw the paperwork and it was a worse deal. Oh well. Life sucks. Find something that brings you joy and keep living. There are bigger things to stress over. But it's the last time I'll ever buy from a dealer.

I noticed an MPG drop after I changed my cams. Bigger cams are also harder on the lifters. I do a lot of long-distance riding so next time I'm in the cam chest I might just put the stock cams back in.

That is a great idea with the L brackets. You are about the only sportster content that I watch lately. Love all your sporty versions.

Have you done any verification to see if it’s accurate? And when your bike is all the way hot whats the temp are u seeing on there?

I have this oil temp dipstick n purchased two 2 years ago. So far, it is working as what it designed for n no issue thus far.

Under warranty but still pay labor? Utter bs. Harley sucks now. Buy a brand thats proud of their products. Bad customer service kills brands. Harley is about dead at this point.

Thrashin Supply makes a bracket for the 20 21 LRS to put a ST fairing on using the tank bolt. The factory fairing is Under $1500 unpainted. You can get it painted too. If you called the dealer and they told you its $3k they just put everything in the parts diagram on the list. Stuff is sold as kits and you can buy everything separate. They are giving you a price that includes both.

That glass is going to kill the life of that light, it was designed to have airflow running across it to cool it. That's why its so hot with the glass in front.

Never had a single blow by issue on 21 road glide and I beat the hell out of it. How do you know the thermostat is accurate ? I dunno man, not hating but I’m kinda iffy about putting eBay stuff on my Harley, last thing I would want is for that thing to come apart while I’m doing 100 down the interstate, or even for the slow guys doing 75 down the interstate. lol

I just can't get the backrest to hit right on my back without it being painful in the lowest setting. The middle setting is the same. The only setting that is somewhat helpful and not painful is the highest setting. The seat itself is very comfortable but the backrest pretty much sucks for me. However, on a long trip, I do believe the backrest will be helpful in the highest setting only.
